À propos de ce logement
My home is a modern jewel with all new interior, large open-plan kitchen, sun deck, garden and hot tub. The home is an urban oasis - close to everything San Francisco has to offer, yet quiet and spacious. It is decorated tastefully with oriental rugs and contemporary art, instruments and cozy furniture. Two sunny bay windows in the living room look out to stunning views of Sutro Tower on Twin Peaks, and the Bay Bridge shimmers in the distance off the back deck.
The master bedroom has a luxurious queen-size bed and sliding door access to a sunny balcony with beautiful plants and flowers. A large ensuite bathroom features a huge walk-in shower and mirrored vanity. The second private bedroom has a very comfortable queen-size bed, an antique desk, plenty of closet space and access to the back deck. There is an adjoining second bathroom with shower, tub and mirrored vanity just outside the door. The massive dining/living/kitchen space boasts high cathedral ceilings, a huge open kitchen, dining table, piano, a lounge area and flat-screen television.
Amenities of the house include: surround sound speakers, central heating, all new appliances and a back deck with a grill. There is also a downstairs garden and hot tub.
There is an attached garage with side-by-side parking that snugly fits a mid-sized sedan if you require parking during your stay.
I sometimes stay nearby at a friend's apartment, and am often available to check guests in. That said, I respect my guests' privacy and will never come over without contacting you first. I'm looking forward to hearing from you! Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
The house is conveniently located at the vibrant intersection of Bernal Heights, Mission and Noe Valley neighborhoods. The neighborhood is charming, with a variety of ethnic restaurants just steps away: Indian, Latin, Middle Eastern, Thai and Vietnamese. You’ll also find a Safeway, produce stands and organic food markets within a few blocks. The hip Mission district is a short walk or bus ride away, with endless food, bars, shops and the famed San Francisco street murals. If you enjoy urban hiking, Bernal Hill is just up the hill, and provides stunning 360-degree views of the City and the Bay.
Public transportation is plentiful. Transit lines within a block or two include the 24, 14, and 49 bus lines downtown, with access to BART, the Castro, Haight Ashbury and Nob Hill neighborhoods, as well as the J-Church MUNI light rail which runs past beautiful Dolores Park and stops at all downtown stations underground out to the Ferry Building.
FROM THE AIRPORT
If you arrive from the airport, a shared-ride van costs approximately $18 (full list at (website hidden)). For parties of three or more, it’s faster and more economical to share a taxi. BART is also possible if you’re not carrying much luggage. The trip takes about an hour and costs approximately $10.
This is a second floor unit and a shoe-free home. Please remove your shoes while inside and tread lightly to avoid disturbing the downstairs neighbors. If you are a smoker, please do so only on the back deck, and keep voices down at night. Access to the backyard garden and hot tub is through the inside hallway on the street level only. Please do not use the back stairs from the deck down to the garden in order to respect our neighbors’ privacy.

I'm a professional upright bassist and 14-year San Francisco resident. I love playing jazz, Latin, classical, bluegrass, tango and much more. I perform almost every night of the week and have some part time teaching jobs to keep me busy during the day. In late 2011 I was able to buy a share of this wonderful two-unit building where I live in the upstairs 2-bed, 2-bath apartment. I've been spending more time away on the road with bands, so I'm happy to know the house is being filled by good energy. When I am in town I love having daytimes off and will often invite house guests along on morning walks, trips to the gym, and cooking experiments. I've added gardening, grilling, and hot tubbing to my home activities recently and find myself happier for it.
San Francisco is my ideal city - big but not sprawling, diverse and inviting. I hope you'll fall in love it with it like I have.
