This historic house is on a 200 acre working family farm 2 miles from Llandegla Mountain Bike Centre. We are family friendly with a large garden and a 20m zip-wire for their entertainment. Blackout blinds and stair gates are in place so everyone can relax. You can follow a self guided walk (20mins) from the front door through the farm and woodland to a view point of the Vale of Clwyd. On a clear day you can see the sea!
Mountain bike stand and hose pipe available. Private parking 2-3 cars.
Downstairs - direct access onto a large child-friendly enclosed garden with panoramic mountain views and garden furniture.
Kitchen, with dining table - fully equipped to ensure ease of catering, including a dishwasher, microwave, electric cooker, fridge, slim chest freezer, washing machine/dryer, ironing facilities, Dualit Expresso machine, cafetiere and toaster, etc. Tea towels and dishcloths are supplied.
Sitting room - Free-standing oil stove, Satellite TV (freesat) with Samsung Internet TV (Netflix subscription included). Two double sofas. iPod docking station. DAB radio. WiFi (av speed 4.5Mb/s)

Bathroom: Double ended bath (taps in the middle) chrome mixer power shower over bath. Wash hand basin and WC (personal towels are supplied)
2 Bedrooms . The bedroom with the king size bed has a 32" wide wall mounted flat screen TV
1 bedroom with a King size bed, one bedroom with two single beds (3.25m by 3.55m). Due to the old character of the house, the bedrooms on the 1st floor are inter-linked; it is necessary to go through the bedroom with the kingsize bed to reach the bedroom with the 2 single beds. All beds are Laura Ashley Victorian style and are already made up on your arrival. Towels provided.

Unrestricted access to 35 acres of bluebell woodland and 150 acres of farmland. A courtesy footpath from the house takes you to a vantage point at 1,300ft with panoramic view of the Vale of Clwyd (as seen in the picture opposite with sheep in the foreground).
Plas yn ial, is the ancestral home of Elihu Yale, who in 1718 helped to establish the famous Yale University in Connecticut, USA, which was named after him.
Most Welcome - Children and Babies - cots, high chairs and stair-gates are available on request, but please bring your own cot bedding.

1.Do nothing more than stroll around the farm or picnic in the woodland
2.Visit Chirk Castle (National Trust) - the Kids will love the spiral staircases and dungeon - (25mins drive)
3.Visit Erddig (National Trust) – Like ‘Downton Abbey’ you get to see the servants quarters
4.Cycle the 'Black run' at the Llandegla Mountain bike centre (5 mins drive away – you can hire bikes there too
5. Walk the roman city walls of the City of Chester (40mins away)
6.Go to Ruthin to see 3 new attractions; the Goal, the Craft Centre and Nant-Clwyd House (20mins away)
7.Walk to the highest field at Plas yn ial for a stunning view of the Vale of Clwyd
8.Spend a whole day at Chester Zoo (45mins away) Full day required
9.Dine at the Corn Mill, Llangollen, which has a decking on the River Dee;....stand on the bridge and look upstream to see the Mill
10.Visit the Horseshoe falls just beyond Abbey Cruises Abbey – follow the Brown tourist signs. This is where Thomas Telford syphoned water from the River Dee to create the Shropshire union canal.
11.Walk up to Castell Dinas Bran (the Castle high on the hill above Llangollen.
Plas yn Iâl is located at the end of a tarmac drive that runs from the main road through open Parkland:
There is a gate at the bottom of the drive, off the main road A5104, which may be closed (dependant on whether the ewes are grazing in the parkland). A further gate leading into the gravelled front of the accommodation may also be closed (again dependant on whether the ewes are grazing in the parkland).
The parking for the accommodation has a gravel surface. There is a 10 metre gravel path to the front door of the accommodation. There is one step up from the gravel path to the front door. The floor level to hall, downstairs WC & kitchen are on the same level. There are 2 steps from the kitchen into the lounge.
Access to the first floor is via 15 steps that consist of: up 10 steps, plateau, left, up 2 steps, plateau, left, up 2 steps – onto the landing.
Door off landing to Bathroom: shower over bath.
Door off landing to bedroom with double bed, door through to bedroom with twin (two single beds).
Access to the twin room is through the double.
There is good mobile phone reception for Vodafone, Orange & T-Mobile (O2 is poor as at July 2015)
