The villa is in the typical architectural style of the island, the dammuso, a stone-made one-flat building with very thick walls that maintain the interior fresh during the summer and warm during the winter. The dammuso is 90 square meters, and contrary to most dammusi, the villa is spacious and confortable, with two double rooms, each with its own bathroom. The fully equipped kitchen is at the center of the villa and has enough space for dining inside, plus a door that opens directly on one of the outside dining areas. Since the winds change frequently on the island, the outside dining areas are on two different sides of the villa: one facing northwest (ideal for when the wind is sirocco, from the southeast), and one facing southeast (ideal for when the wind comes in from the north or the northwest). The home is fully equipped with linens, towels, all necessary utensils and appliances.
The pool faces southwest and is heated by the sun from early morning until the sunset. On particular clear days, the view from the villa is so enchanting that, if you look really close, you can see the coast of North Africa, Tunisia. The nearest access to the sea is only 5 minutes by car.
Another peculiar feature of the villa is the large garden (half an hectare), filled with aloes, carobs, bougainvilleas, cactuses, roses of the desert, ficus, fig trees and "zibibbo" grapes.
The villa includes a parking area (2 covered parking spaces) and a large courtyard. Security (although the island is very well known for its tranquility and total lack of crime) is ensured by an iron gate at the entrance. Privacy is also guaranteed.
The pool is cleaned each morning and a gardener takes special care of the plants.
The price includes housekeeping twice a week. Additional housekeeping hours will be charged separately.
There is also the possibility of renting the house car and house boat. These are charged separately. (Of course, drivers license and boat license are mandatory).
From June to September, the island of Pantelleria can be reached from Milan and Rome with a direct flight (one hour 20 min from Milan and 50 minutes from Rome).
