Wonderful, bright, centrally-located studio apartment in the heart of Budapest's Jewish Quarter. Near Andrassy Boulevard, Opera, Oktogon.
Washing machine, wireless internet
You probably couldn't ask for a better location! It's right smack in the middle of the 7th district, near all of the bohemian bars, restaurants, shops.
You can walk almost everywhere from the apartment, but if you want to take the underground, tram or trolley, they're all nearby.
The apartment is in one of the 7th district's most famous buildings, home to many celebrated Hungarian musicians and performers.
Rezső Seress, composer of "Gloomy Sunday," lived here, and even played piano around the corner at Kis Pipa, a little piano bar and restaurant that is still open for business.
Jenő "Bubi" Beamter, the great jazz musician, also lived here. You should have heard him play the vibraphone!
You can "visit" them both in the entrance way shrine to the building's celebrities.
If World War III breaks out while you're visiting Budapest, you can take refuge in the basement bomb shelter. (The building was built in 1939, so I guess it was good to have a bomb shelter back then.)
