Our traditional stone house is situated in a tiny village, among wooded hills, with glorious views over the valley. We have walking and cycling routes nearby. Situated 6 km from Sarria, famous for its location on the Camino de Santiago and its antique shops, and in a countryside location. We are ideally placed for people touring Galicia by car, close to Lugo, the Ribeira Sacra and the Ancora Mountains. I am happy to collect Pilgrims from, and return them to the Camino. (See Note for Pilgrims).
The room is on the ground floor of the house, and has its own private bathroom, (bath with shower over). We have a covered patio where you can eat and relax in good weather. In winter breakfast is served in our large farmhouse kitchen. There is a comfortable seating area with a log burner in the hall if you want to sit and read or enjoy a glass of wine. This listing is a home not a hostel or a shared house.

We live in a small village of 6 houses surrounded by woods and fields. A nice little church is in the center of the village. The house is at least 250 years old and is part of the landscape. We are in the center of Galicia, so the coast, mountains, vineyards and trails are all within reach. There is a small sitting area and a pretty patio which guests are welcome to use. there is also plenty of parking space.

Steve teaches English both locally and in Lugo but I will always be here if you need information or just a coffee and a chat. I will respect your privacy unless you tell me otherwise.
As British ex pats we know a bit about house buying in the area so if you are interested in moving into the area you may be able to help, or get in touch with someone who can.
We are about 5 km from the Camino de Santiago, but we can pick up and return pilgrims from the route on request. The room has a wood burning stove and is open all year round. We can also offer an evening meal based on your preference. So if you fancy a curry, or a vegan / vegetarian food, etc. Ask at the time of booking. (Please email for price) Laundry / drying facilities are also available. Please note that there are no bars or restaurants within walking distance.
I am happy to collect people from Sarria, and return them to either Sarria or the nearest point on the camino the next day, by arrangement. I am afraid that I cannot arrange to pick up or collect from other towns, nor can I transfer luggage to the next accommodation.
