A rustic (nicely updated), clean, comfortable, cozy, pet friendly classic cabin with large hot tub. Brand new (2016), one of a kind, rustic modern kitchen and main bathroom. Close to Mt. Baker Ski Resort Area of Mt. Baker, Whatcom County, WA, United States. Convenient location in a gated community of Snowline in Glacier WA, United States. This is a great home base for year round activities in Mount Baker area (aka Koma Kulshan) in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, North Cascades.

Le logement

This classic Mt. Baker Twin Tree House Cabin 1 is great for families, groups and couples as the community amenities are just steps away. Flex space (kitchen, dining, living and 1 full plus 1/2 bathrooms on main) with four bedroom on upper floor. The kitchen has been completely redesigned (rustic modern) with new quartz counter top and island, new range and dishwasher along with new laminate flooring throughout the main floor. Of course, relax in the large private hot tub that is tested for water balance and thoroughly cleaned after every stay. Large front deck (with a large Douglas Fir tree growing through it) has a BBQ grill for gathering, cooking and relaxing.

New for 2017 is a 18,000 BTU high efficiency super quiet ductless mini-split air conditioner and heat pump to keep the main level comfortable year round. Yes, an air conditioned cabin in the woods (main level only)!

Note that we do not use harsh chemical to clean the cabin - natural products like vinegar and other biodegradable cleaners (Simple Green, ECOS detergent) are used whenever possible.

Interesting note: The Mt. Tree House Cabin 1 cabin is featured in Shelter: Cabin Chronicles on Huckberry as The PNW TEAL CABIN (photo by @robstrok - must have caught his eyes!) that received thousands of comment on Huckberry's Face-Book page about the huge tree sticking out of the front porch and its bold teal color (Benjamin Moore Colonial Blue actually). That is why it is called the Tree House 1. Tree House 2 has a tree sticking out of the back porch.

Accès des voyageurs

Door access is via remotely managed unique PIN code (to be emailed). Community gate access is via key fob to be retrieved on your way to the cabin.

Our cabin and all the amenities are within the gated community of Snowline. This includes seasonal outdoor pool, tennis court, pickle ball court, basket ball court, club house, play ground and direct access to trails and the Nooksack River via two trail heads inside the community.

Please note that the original wood block spiral staircase connecting the main floor (kitchen/dinning, living, bathrooms) and the top floor (4 bedrooms) has 10 inch rise steps that may not be suitable for toddlers, the elderly or those with weak knees or mobility challenges. For the rest of us, it is easy to use, great for exercise and offers our guests a unique cabin experience. Please see photo of the staircase.

Great place to stay to visit the Mt Baker area. House set up with everything you need and is minutes from restaurants in Glacier. Easy access to Mt Baker and other area hiking trails.

Loved the house! Great location, easy to find. All instructions were detailed and easy to follow. The staircase can be a bit intimidating but it has tons on hand holds to make it easier to get up and down. Loved the place!

Thanks for sharing your experience Lizzi! Yes, the unique original wood block spiral staircase may not work well for those with mobility issues (or after many drinks) and toddlers so we encourage all guest to review the photos. For almost everyone else, they found the 10 inch rise spiral staircase an interesting feature and presented no issues at all.

Ken was such a great host. He was easy to communicate with, quick to respond, and super helpful with all our questions. My girlfriends and I had a lovely weekend and really enjoyed our stay at the Tree House - it totally feels like you're just tucked into the rainforest, even though there are techincally neighbours nearby. The hot tub felt like a private oasis (the fact that it's covered is ideal - it was a rainy weekend). We spent the weekend relaxing, soaking, cooking, and enjoying a movie marathon or two. We can definitely see ourselves coming back for a snowboard trip this winter.

My husband and I stayed at TreeHouse during our honeymoon. The house was very clean and we enjoyed the quiet beautify of the surround area. Our host was very communicative and accommodated my request for the air to be turned on prior to our stay. (Record temps in the area.) I would recommend TreeHouse to anyone.

Thank you for sharing your experience Lisa! Our cabin is probably one of very few to offer air conditioning (high efficiency heat pump) and very happy to hear that our investment improves guest comfort and satisfaction.

Our family all enjoyed the modern, comfortable cabin, hot tub, deck, gas barbeque, close to hiking, day trips, canoeing. We all commented on how secluded, relaxed, and rested we felt in the woods. Extra thank you for the dog treats, the baby pack and play, and that fabulous massage thing! We all felt we had enough cabin space for private time and family time. It is great!

We had a great stay at Ken's cabin in Glacier. We needed a quiet mountian get-away and this place certainly fit the bill. Ken was easy to communicate with and provided clear diretions and details about checking in and checking out. We loved the location and spent one day hiking the Chain Lakes Loop and watching the stars at Artist point and another in our hammocks by Nooksack Falls. I would highly recommend this spot - it is clean, cozy, and just secluded enough to get away but close to civilization in case you need to hit up a local bakery or run to the market!

We loved our stay at the cabin and felt the photos accurately displayed the home. Very clean, great amenities. The only thing to be aware of is the beds are more full size, not queens although 2 slept fine on each. Comfortable beds, furniture and fully stocked kitchen appliances and utensils. Loved our stay!

Thanks for sharing your experience Garrett. The listing does in fact accurately describe each of the 4 beds as "double", not queen...glad to hear they still accommodate 2 fine.
