The master suite has a large bathroom with dual sink and four-head shower along with a private deck that leads to the hot tub.

Upstairs is the large, open living room with cathedral ceilings connected to a contemporary kitchen. The kitchen features pine cabinetry, a center island, granite counter top , dishwasher, disposal, hot water dispenser, and dining table that seats eight people.

Wet bar

Humidifiers are located in each room to combat the dryness of the mountain air. We highly suggest using them. Very easy, fill tank with water and turn on.

HOT TUB ~ A hot springs sovereign which seats 6 people comfortably. Each seat has its own jet adjustment.

Gas Barbeque Grill ~ Propane gas grill on deck for BBQs!

Ski Resorts ~ 10 minutes to Squaw Valley and Alpine. 15 minutes to Northstar. 30 minutes to Homewood.

Neighborhood & Fave spots:

+ Grocery Stores: Save Mart (on the way in) & Safeway (also New Moon Natural Grocery but expensive)
+ Great trail for walking the dog - just two blocks away. If you go left on the trail, it stays pretty flat and is a nice walk in the woods!
+ Nice dinner but pricy side: Christy Hill, Tahoe City - on the lake so really nice lake views and good food. If you go, I suggest either requesting a table by the window or sitting outside.
+ Great old school steak house - pricey side:
Old Range Steak House, Tahoe Vista (super classic!)
+ Lunch outdoors on deck with plenty of umbrellas, right on the lake - Sunny Side Resort, Westshore - Outdoor Deck serves "bar menu) Food is relaxed but good. (above bar food style but not overly expensive)
+ Lunch / drinks outdoors go to Garwoods .. this is RIGHT down the street from the house. Great bar, decent food, not pricey. Beautifully situated on the lake and super close to the house.
+ Best shopping for clothes: Fine & Funky in Tahoe City.
+ Great massage place: Lighthouse Spa. (Nice but not super swanky)

PROPERTY CHECK
Tenants are financially responsible for any damage done to the home during their stay. If you notice any damage or anything out of the ordinary, please contact our office at ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

CHECK IN/CHECK OUT
Check in time is 4:00 pm and check out time is 11:00 am unless other arrangements have previously been made. The cleaner will be completing the preparation of the home very close to 4 pm. It is important check in and check out times is respected so as to ensure the property is ready for everyone’s arrival. We will leave lights on for you but if you’re arriving after dark, we recommend you bring a flashlight to easily access the lock box. Please call prior to 5 pm the day before your departure to see if a late checkout is possible. We are happy to do our best to accommodate your requests.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
We will inspect the home upon your departure. We will destroy your deposit check 15 days after your stay if there are no damages and no long distance phone charges. If there is damage, we will call and inform you of the problem and work with you to solve it as quickly and easily as possible.


PETS
Please note that pets are not allowed unless approved by a rental agent and you have completed a “Pet Addendum” with your contract.

PARKING
Please park in the property’s driveway or garage (if available). Please make sure to leave any garage openers in the home prior before your departure. There is a $50.00 charge for any missing garage door openers. SEE section below titled “SNOW REMOVAL/WINTER/ICE” for important Winter parking tips.

HOT TUB
The Hot Tub is serviced before each new rental and is ready for your use. It is serviced every 2 weeks by a local service. There is nothing for you to do with regard to chemicals. Please rinse off before using the tub and keep it covered when not in use. Tubs that require excessive cleaning will be emptied and cleaned at the expense of the renter. Do not use glasses in the hot tub. Plastic tumblers are located in the kitchen specifically for use in or around the tub area.

GARBAGE
If there is a bear box at the driveway, place all your garbage inside, and make sure you take the key out of the lock. Believe it or not, the bears can turn it and get in. You won’t need to take the containers out of the box; the garbage people will do it for you. If you have additional garbage, please leave it in the garage. Never leave trash outside, the bears and other animals will get into it.

FOOD ITEMS
You will find empty storage areas in the kitchen, refrigerator and freezer for your use. If there are condiments in the refrigerator or food in the cupboards, they are there for your use. Please organize your own bar libations.

LINENS/TOWELS
All bedding and bath towels are provided at the house.

SUMMER/FANS
Our homes do not have air conditioning due to Tahoe’s mild climate. For your comfort, there should be 2 fans at the home (please check all closets).


UPON DEPARTURE
1.Please turn lights off inside and out
2.Lock all doors and windows
3.Turn the thermostat to 55 degrees, DO NOT TURN OFF IN WINTER, the pipes will freeze
4.Return the house key to the lock box.


FORGOTTEN ITEMS
Don’t forget personal items. Please note that there is a $25.00 charge to pick-up the item(s) and then you will be charged the cost for mailing also. Items most frequently left behind: cell phones, cell phone charges and camera chargers.


OCCUPANCY
•THE MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY IN THE HOUSE IS BEDDING FOR 9 PEOPLE. THIS DOES NOT PRECLUDE GUESTS FROM TAKING REFUGE ON THE COUCH IF NEEDED. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM HAVING LOUD PARTIES.

SNOW REMOVAL/WINTER/ICE
•Please note that from November 1st – May 1st it is illegal to park on the street. This is for snow removal purposes. Please keep all vehicles in the driveway or in the garage during winter months. Tickets for this violation are expensive. Owner will NOT be responsible for any tickets issued.
•The County is responsible for plowing the streets in your neighborhood. Their routes are set in advance and they will get to your street ASAP. Please be patient and enjoy the new snow!
•Your driveway will be cleared by a private plow service. They cannot plow if cars are in the driveway. Typically they will come to plow after the storm has passed, and potentially throughout the storm. There is no set time for them to arrive, and may be as early as 5:30 AM but they will be there. If your car is parked in the driveway, the plow will not be able to remove the snow. If you need to get out of the driveway and the way has not been cleared, there is a shovel at the property.
•We highly recommend that your car be 4-wheel drive, or all wheel drive. If your car is 2-wheel drive, you must have chains. We highly recommend that ALL cars, trucks and SUVs carry chains.
•Drive safely and use common snow sense. Use low gears when descending slippery hills. ROAD CONDITIONS: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).


TOP 10 REASONS RENTERS LOSE ALL OR PART OF THEIR SECURITY DEPOSIT
1.Smoking in the house (you will forfeit your entire security deposit if there is smoking inside the house)
2.Parties or unauthorized guests (more guests in the house than are on your contract)

This house was in a great location, a close drive to super markets and the lake. There was a lot of room and amenities for 9 people. However, there was a lot of things we wish we knew before booking this location: 1) one of the showers was broken, 2) the night we arrived beds were unmade and some trash was left inside of the house, 3) there was no toilet paper, 4) one of the garage doors stopped working and 5) his realtor showed up at the house asking if we can open up the house for them to show potential buyers around.

Robert's house in Carnelian Bay is beautiful. My family and I went up for 3 nights on a ski trip and had an amazing time. The house is less than 10 minutes from restaurants in Tahoe City and around 5 minutes from restaurants in Carnelian Bay. There is more than enough room at the house to accommodate a family of 4 or 5. Highlights of the house include an immaculate kitchen, first and second floor balconies, and a large hot tub right outside the master bedroom. There is also a ton of natural light in the dining room and living room. Make sure you have 4 wheel drive or a car with chains if you're staying here in the winter -- the driveway would be tough to navigate in a car without 4 wheel drive.

Wonderful cabin with an open cozy layout perfect for hanging and enjoying the scenery. Large hot tub, well equipped for cooking needs. Great location between Squaw and North Star. Beautiful, serene, fantastic value. Only thing I would change is more/thicker pillows. Our only complain was that we had a hard time sleeping with the thin, few pillows. Other than that, loved it and will be coming back!

Robert's place was great; spacious and well stocked with towels, kitchen items. He was easy to reach as well. The driveway was a bit tricky due to the snow but we used chains in the garage. Location is close to Homewood and Tahoe City. Gas fireplace wasn't working but hot tub was great!
