The house sits on a 5 acre forested lot east of Monument at an elevation of 7440 feet. It is nestled back off the road with a spectacular view of Pikes Peak from the front deck. It is a quiet destination with the owners providing great hospitality. The guests have access to everything on the first level. The host lives upstairs on the main level.
The house is 3800 square feet and has three bedrooms on the 1st level that sleep 6 that guests can use. If you have more folks, we have two single mattresses that folks can put on the floor and make up for two additional people plus a couch that could sleep two. Great place for Air Force parents wanting to attend Graduation or Parent's weekend or for a family get together. The house sits on 5 acres and has a beautiful view of Pikes Peak from the front deck that guests may use and is shared with the host. Guests can enjoy the quiet solitude of the fountain and fire pit off of the back patio or go out and play basketball on the sport court. They also can enjoy a movie, cup of hot chocolate or a glass of wine in the comfortable living space downstairs in front of a warm cozy fire.
The guest have their own private entrance off of the back patio, which allows them to come and go without disturbing the host which live on the upper level. A door has recently been installed at the bottom of the stairs so guests have complete privacy and noise from the upstairs doesn't come downstairs. They have sole access to three bedrooms downstairs, 1 bathroom, family room and the gym. They will also have access to the kitchen upstairs and the front deck which is shared with the host and can use the additional bathroom off of the laundry room if needed.
All of the homes in our development sit on 5 acre lots so you have privacy with views of Pikes Peak from the front deck. Certainly don't have the hustle and bustle of the city.

The guest will have access to three private bedrooms downstairs, 1 bathroom, family room, back patio and the gym. They will also have access to the kitchen upstairs which is shared with the host. They may use the laundry facilities if they need to. If they need an additional bathroom they may use the one off of the laundry room. The hosts live in the house full-time and will be upstairs during their stay. We have added a small microwave, mini-fridge, toaster oven and Keurig' machine for coffee, tea and hot chocolate based on customer feedback. We have also added cups and glasses for guests to use. We just recently installed a door that closes off the upstairs from the 1st level. This was recommended by several guests to enhance the privacy of those downstairs or the owners that are on the upper level.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
As much as they desire, guests can interact with the hosts. We like them to feel comfortable and their stay enjoyable. If guests want more privacy, please communicate that to the host upon arrival.
The dogs are friendly and love to play. Their names are Bonnie and Sox and are a black lab mix.
There is no public transportation in our area. Guests would need to have a vehicle to get around.
We don't allow smoking, drugs including marijuana, or additional pets on the premises. There are two black labs that live on the property. If visitors use the kitchen we just expect them to clean up after themselves. The hosts will be in the house during their stay.

Sally and Greg Wiggins live in Monument, CO and have been married for 34 years. Sally retired from FedEx Services after 25 years where she was the Manager of Facilities. Greg owns TriLakes Timber Management and does fire mitigation, disease control and reforestation. We have two daughters, Angela and Amanda who live in California and two granddaughters, Addison Marie and Sawyer Elizabeth. We love to travel the world and meet other people. We have visited all 50 states and have traveled to over 20 countries. Sally likes to watch movies, ride bike and walk their dogs. She also loves being with her children and grandchildren. Greg just finished climbing all of the 14 thousand foot peaks in Colorado. He has climbed in Nepal and in Africa. We go out of our way to be great hosts. Our condo in Palm Desert is also listed on other locations and we have excellent reviews. We believe that everyone should live their life to the fullest and make each day count.
