The bunk room sleeps four and is basic so is only £25 pp. If you book all four beds then you have the room to yourselves. If you want to book 1,2 or 3 beds then you will probably share with some other nice travellers. It's accessed by a spiral staircase and then you have to duck under an arch to get in. The arch only has a curtain to close it off from the communal area and so it is noisy between 7am - 11pm.

Le logement

Ancient and modern stylishly combine in this B&B set within a 19th century church in the mountain village of Capel Curig. The property doesn't offer cooking facilities but breakfast is served at a large communal table in the spacious kitchen on the mezzanine level giving a bird’s eye view of the church’s glittering mosaic ceiling. For refuelling in the evening, two pubs serving meals are in easy walking distance and there are good restaurants within a 10-minute drive. On a typical weekend, the B&B is full of walkers and climbers, families, writers, photographers, romantics … and there’s never a dull moment. This is a family home, with all the toys pets and friends that that involves. You’re likely to be greeted by Apollo the Great Dane, and the cat may want to curl up next to you on the sofa. But, if you’re not a dog person, let Alice know and she will keep him inside when you arrive. It’s also worth knowing that the atmosphere at St Curig’s at times can be that of a house party. And, because of the nature of the building, those lying-in may hear some noise in the morning from early risers keen to get out on the mountains. That said, all guests are asked to keep noise to a minimum after 11pm. By then most guests are ready for their beds and a good night’s sleep in preparation for another day out in Snowdonia…

Myself and my friends had a lovely time staying in the Snowdonia Bunkroom. The bunk room itself was basically equipped but perfectly adequate and comfortable for our needs as we stayed in order to visit Bounce Below which was only 20/25 minutes away. Whilst staying with Alice we also made use of the fantastic games room and the nice warm log burner in the common room area. Alice couldn't have been more helpful with our breakfast requests, with one vegetarian and a few other fussy orders and we had a lovely breakfast to keep us fuelled up for our journey home. Only thing I would mention is that if you are particularly tall, its quite a duck under the archway into the bunkroom but other than that a lovely place to stay situated by a wide variety of attractions.

A neat place to stay the night ! The bunk-room has four beds and we shared the room with two other guests - it's a good idea to bring earplugs if you are sharing the room with others that may or may not snore...Also the room does not have a door so the earplugs may come in need if you wish to sleep early or in the next morning. The beds were clean, stable and comfy. The bathroom is big and there is enough hot water for everyone, although I would suggest to bring a towel. There is a common living room where there is a pool table and multiple board games you can use, which was nice after a long day of walking! Breakfast is provided and there is a variety to pick from, Alice was a great host with lots of interesting stories to share about her amazing place. Definitely a place to visit and stay if you are looking to meet new people and well sleep in a church :) Thanks for having us Alice! Soph & Chris

What a super stay we had! We arrived and were welcomed by Alice into her stunning chapel conversion. There's plenty of room for guests to feel relaxed and enjoy themselves. Our room was simple and clean - all we needed after an exhausting few days of racing around the Welsh hills. We'll definitely be coming back to visit next year. Thank you Alice!

It was a lovely home! Great hot tub! Bunk room perfect for our needs (except no kettle, so no way to make our own cup of tea, not a big problem but I wish the description had said so or I'd have bought one at the end of my evening meal out). Great advice from Alice about our hiking plans and she even offered her mobile number so we could advise her of when we started and completed our hike so she'd know we were safe! Sadly, the breakfast was only average and not a full English in my opinion as no baked beans, the veggie sausage was cold in the middle and my toast was mouldy, but Alice was so nice and the home so lovely i will still give a good rating! I would definitely come back and stay again
