If you are a golfer or would like to learn there is a 9 hole golf course which welcomes new comers and has regular lessons and social events. Join Coastare volunteers weeding and undertaking restoration work around the island followed by either a BBQ or morning or afternoon tea. Check out their (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) page as well as Coochiemudlo Island Coastcare. The Recreational area in the centre of the island has tennis courts, cricket pitch, croquet and playground. There is fishing and many water sports. Ask Carolyn about paddling with the outriggers.

Markets are held four times a year and there is a special re enactment of Matthew Flinders landing at the Flinders Markets in July.
I have had a home on Coochiemudlo Island for over 40 years. The island with its natural beauty is truly one of the best kept secrets in SE Queensland. Near by Redland Bay was the home of my grandparents who fished in the bay with hand made nets and sold their daily catch to local residents. Whilst I have also spent many years living and working abroad I have always called Coochie home. Near by Brisbane was my birth place. Gardening is one of my passions and I have an extensive Australian Native garden with an Amphitheatre and billabong on the Main Beach side of Coochiemudlo Island near the Jetty. We make available for others to use. I look forward to welcoming you to Coochiemudlo Island.
