À propos de ce logement
Le Mas & Le Mazet together offer the perfect option for a big family or group of friends. They offer 6 large bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms, 2 kitchens, sitting room, private swimming pool, large summer kitchen and the run of the garden.
Le Mas has a large well-equipped kitchen (60m²) is the centre of the house. The exposed stone walls show the history of the house, with a centuries-old larder and a stone evier (basin). The terracotta floor tiles lead to the living room (48m²), which like the kitchen has exposed beams, an enormous fireplace with a wood burner (wood provided). If you want to catch up on the news or watch a film there is a flat screen satellite TV with English channels.
There are 5 spacious bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms: 2 on the ground floor; and 3 on the first floor. Opposite the kitchen is the covered summer kitchen with a dining table and 12 chairs, the perfect place to escape the sun. It overlooks the private swimming pool and the fields and woods beyond.
Le Mazet is approached from the garden and has steps to the front door, which opens into the living room and open kitchen (36m²) on the upper ground floor. It is a sunny room, with deep-set windows on all four sides, a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and a large fireplace with a log burner. There is a modern kitchen equipped to ensure an easy and enjoyable stay, with a dishwasher, oven, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle.
Steps lead down from the living room to the lower ground floor bedroom with an en suite bathroom. There is a double bed, dressing table and chair, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The spacious bathroom has a large multi-jet shower, WC and heated towel radiator. The washbasin is set on a marble-topped chest of drawers below a large mirror and shaving point.

We will leave you alone, but we are on hand if you need anything – whether it be advice about where to go, help booking restaurants or printing out boarding passes.
There are 3 houses on the property, Le Mas, Le Mazet and our home – a converted tobacco barn. You’ll pass the tobacco barn before reaching the parking bays and
Le Mas, with Le Mazet beyond it. Each house has a private garden.
We provide goose-down duvets in the double bedroom, but there is also an anti-allergy duvet available. All the bed linen is 100% Egyptian cotton, and the towels are also pure cotton. For longer stays the bed linen and towels are changed weekly.
There are lots of fruit trees in the garden, please help us by helping yourselves! Pear, apple, nectarine, cherry, figs, medlar, walnut and hazelnut, whatever takes your fancy.
Sorry, not pets and no smoking.

When I was 25 I moved from England to Amsterdam and ran my own antique shop for 5 years before going on to be the head of fundraising for the Dutch breast cancer charity. After 15 years as an Amsterdammer I decided to swop one UNESCO Heritage Site for another, and moved to the Dordogne in 2015!
After moving, the renovations of Le Mas and Le Mazet started immediately, keeping all the character of the houses but making them lighter, brighter and much more comfortable. At the beginning of the property is an old barn once used for drying tobacco, which is now my home. It's separate to Le Mas and Le Mazet, offering you complete privacy.
I love the history and the charm of Le Mas & Le Mazet, and the beautiful countryside all around it, with all the wildlife, peace and tranquility it offers. This part of France is not only beautiful, but has exemplary food and wine, culture and history. And I'm dealing in antiques again, so if you want to know where the best brocantes and flea markets are, just ask!
