My name is Marco. I was born in Rome in 1958. I'm archaeologist, adjunct university professor, member of an italian archaeological mission in Libya, Cyprus and Palestina (in the photo I'm in a Libyan bar), expert about ancient architecture, survey and 3d reconstruction. I've written three books about these subjects as well as numerous articles in various scientific journals.
I created a website about archaeological survey and ancient architecture, containing hundreds of pages and images freely downloadable.
I'm member of a Rowing Club in Rome, rowing trainer and I took part in the agonistic regattas of Federazione Italiana di Canottaggio. I move regularly by bicycle. I'm great lover and connoisseur of the Abruzzo where I hiking, biking and skiing from over twenty years.
In 1980, when I was still a university student, I came to live in this house in vicolo del Leopardo. At that time I had a lot of friends who attended the numerous alternative venues that began to flourish in the center of Rome, especially in Trastevere. My home was a crossroads. My friends were knocking on the door at all hours of the day and night. My evenings were always very crowded and lively.
Now I travel often for work; when absent I rent my apartment for a short time to those who come to Rome to work, to study or to visit our wonderful monuments.
I'm always available to advise and guide all my guests on archaeological sites, museums and other places of historical and artistic interest.
