`Aldi is the closest food store a few blocks away and within walking distance. It is right next to chase bank, Kmart and a convenience store which is open 24 hours. These stores and the house location are off of biscayne boulevard and 108th street. Whole Foods, publix, walgreens, gas, pizza, home depot, fedex, LA fitness, restaurants etc are on 125th street which is 17 blocks away. If you drive to 125th street and cross the bridge you are at the beach 10 minute car ride.
Public transportation is within walking distance and blocks away. Most guests have used Uber and love it. It is recommended that you open an uber account on the internet if you don't have a car before you arrive. There is plenty of parking in the circular driveway or across the street if you have a car. Bicycles are available to rent on the nearby streets if desired.
Miami can be a noisy city. It is mostly quiet, but there is a train nearby so it may wake u if you are sleeping. Please bring ear plugs/mask if you are a light sleeper.
Guests must have at least four verifications (including drivers license or passport) and book atleast one day in advance. I mainly have one rule and that is to please be respectful of me, my home and all other guests. In particular keep the common areas clean and free of your personal belongings. Clean up after yourself, this includes washing dishes and putting them away. If you eat or drink something that is not yours please replace it. This includes water, food, coffee and laundry detergent, within reason. You may use all that I have here but please clean up after yourself and replace things. If you cannot drive to buy water that is understandable. Please give me money to buy you water. Please be quiet after 11pm. Please do not turn on hall light after 10pm. If you turn on a light upon entering please turn it off when exiting. Please stay in your private room after 12 midnight and be quiet unless other arrangements are made through me. No smoking in the house. No parties. Please leave thermostat at my setting which is usually 79 degrees. I have a new central air system that works well. I just had the ducts cleaned and change the filter every 3 months. You will be considered family. Thank you.

I can't live without watermelon, my friends and family, netflix, being able to constantly learn, read and better myself and of course starbucks:) I am deaf on both sides, but I have a cochlear implant, so for all my purposes I hear fine and dandy:) I did not learn much american sign language, but I know some. I am so happy to be a cochlear implant recipient and think it is a beautiful miracle!!! I love to communicate with people and feel I am "out of the box" after hearing again:) I am from New Jersey....brrrrrr...!! I came to Miami for temporary work and loved it!!! I wanted to make Miami my home. I love the weather!!! It seems like there is sunny skies and warmth every single day and if it rains it does not last. Miami has changed my life. I view down town like a clean NYC and I think it is wonderful!!! There is always plenty to do. I always loved lincoln road and south beach. I highly recommend Miami Metro Zoo, Jungle Island, Fairchild gardens and Vizcaya, they remain my favorites.
