Tree Top Casita has swimming, snorkeling moments away. 5 min walk to world class surfing and popular beach bar. Enjoy the sea view. Hang your hammock and watch exotic birds or howler monkeys. While secluded we are 10 min from Bocas by taxi.

Le logement

Tree Top Casita gives you the feeling that you are above ground and close to the trees.People love watching the monkeys and they are often right over the house.Toucans live behind the house and we often see them flying through the trees. The casita has plenty screened in windows with a view of the sea. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all kinds of utensils if you would like to prepare your own meals, and a small table on the covered deck. The queen size bed is comfortable and is directly below a large ceiling fan if you should need an extra breeze.

Accès des voyageurs

Guests have access to their own private self contained casita. There is a barbeque outside our bodega for use. Guests do not have access to the bodega. We have just added a small swimming pool.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Heather and Ray's casita and could not have had a better stay. They are incredible hosts. They made our stay relaxing and worry free. We had all the information we needed at our fingertips from restaurants and taxi numbers to the best grocery stores. Heather picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, making our travels stress free. We were welcomed to the casita by their adorable pups and local brew in the fridge (amongst other local goodies). Heather and Ray were also generous enough to let us use their bikes, which we utilized every day. The casita sits perfectly in a private location where you are set back in the jungle while overlooking the ocean. Breakfast on the balcony with views to monkeys, sloths, birds etc is the perfect way to start the day. Another highlight of this spot is Skully's restaurant and bar, which is just a few minute walk away. Great food and even better people. Skully's rents ATVs which we highly recommend! One of the highlights of our trip. We had such an amazing stay and will surely be back soon!

This is a destination worth building an island trip around! Heather and Ray continually went above and beyond for us. Heather picked us up from the airport and gave us a tour of where to eat, food shop etc in Bocas town. The house is well private and between the view of the ocean and the abundance of wildlife, we were well entertained! The new pool is a luxurious upgrade that cooled us down after using the two bikes to get back and forth to town. One afternoon while floating on noodles, we saw 20+ adult and 5 baby Howler Monkeys migrating through the canopy of the jungle! What an incredible site and sound! Over our 7 nights, Heather and Ray continued to be very kind and accommodating to enhance our stay with little things like use of their grill, pointing out noises and sightings of Tucans because they quickly realized we there for a wildlife experience and had the luxury of time and not go, go, go. Make sure to check out Scully's (at the bottom of the driveway) for food & drinks when you don't want to cook and great stories from the owner, Steve. We also recommend renting his ATV's at Flying Pirates for a really cool and exclusive way to see the island and Pablo Escobar's ruins (his private property for the ATV's). When we make it back to Bocas, we will for sure stay here again and enjoy going to town when we need groceries or to schedule snorkeling tours, but otherwise this was THE place for us!!

Our hosts Ray and Heather were awesome! Heather has worked in the hospitality industry and it shows. Together, they didn't miss a thing. How lucky we were to find this location on the main island outside of the town's congestion right were the pavement ends. The treetop casita was very nicely appointed and worked perfectly for our daily adventures. We slept to the sounds of surf and gentle rain then awakened to the sights and sounds of the jungle with butterflies, hummingbirds, parrots, toucans, and monkeys right off the balcony. Ray and Heather are warm, friendly and genuinely hospitable. We were full of questions and they were full of answers. We look forward to a return trip.

Beautiful vacation home! Heather was extremely hospitable and there when you needed her. Having two bicycles and snorkel equipment available for use was fantastic and added to all of our adventures! I'd go back in a heartbeat.

I cannot say enough great things about this experience. I loved every aspect of it. Heather and Ray were the best hosts anyone could ever hope for. They picked us up at the airport and gave us a tour of the island right when we got there; they even lent us bikes to use for the week which really came in handy. They really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for a truly pleasant stay. We felt so welcome the entire trip and they made themselves available as much or as little as we needed. The home was beautiful and is in a very nice, private part of the island. It was great to be able to just walk to Scully's (a cute little bar on the water) or bike into town. My boyfriend and I are very pleased with the experience we had and feel so fortunate to have met two of the most genuinely kind, good-hearted people we have ever come across. I highly recommend this stay!!

This was one of my best vacation experiences. Loved the location of the cabin, nested in between the jungle trees and tall colorful tropical flowers, with plenty of privacy -- yet only a few steps away from the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, nice sandy surf beach (Bluff's) and a surf bar (Skully's) with tons of hammocks and loungers, great food, super friendly staff and a somewhat less friendly (unless you're willing to share your food!) but beautiful green parrot. The cabin has all the conveniences of a modern build (shower and full kitchen), yet also has plenty of local character with an external wooden staircase, a log door handle and a hammock on the balcony! Heather was an exceptional host - she helped with a lot of logistics, including rides from and to the airport and rides into town (even though taxis were available and inexpensive, and it's about 10 min ride, it was really nice to drive into town with her), groceries and even laundry! And she left a number of local treats in the cabin, like coffee, coconut water and meal, and a local breakfast bun, which were really, really good. She even offered to borrow one of her cruiser bikes and snorkeling equipment! Also Heather knows the town and island very well and suggested a number of activities and places to visit that made the week fly by in a flash. If you stay here, please make sure to: *catch up on quality nap time in the hammock on the balcony if it rains (or even if it does not!) *be generous with bug repellent (nothing too nasty, but zero bites is better than a few!), although screens at the cabin would filter most of them *take a spin through the jungle road to starfish beach in an ATV (adventure center rentals is just beside the surf bar) and/or ride the local trails *swim and snorkel as much as possible - from the drive way, at Bluff beach, starfish and dragon beach or other islands (wizard beach or red frog beach at Bastimentos and anywhere around Zapatillos) *go on a boat tour around the islands (and ask to visit a few snorkeling spots) *visit a local cocoa farm * have a meal or a drink at one or many of the over-the-water huts (e.g. blue coconut or cosmic crab cafe on carenero) * try a burger and a fresh fruit smoothie at Captain Caribe

We started off with an old sailboat. This led to our backpacking trips through Central America to check out hurricane holes. One of the places we visited was Bocas del toro. So the way it goes we sold one boat, bought another old boat and spent 8 years totally rebuilding it.When …
