Le logement

Adjoining private bath with Jacuzzi tub, dual head shower, adjacent weight room, steam room. A coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator are provided. For your safety, there is a fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide and smoke detector, fire sprinklers in the ceiling and 2 exits.

Accès des voyageurs
Located near the town of Creston, off of Highway 41 North, our vineyard is approximately one mile south on Straw Ridge Road, a private gravel road. At Amaretto Ridge Road, you will pass through a set of gates (There is a sensitivity strip in the road that will open the gate.) The gate opens slowly. The button on the arm extension is for walkers.
At the V, hang to the right, then turn right at the first paver driveway where the metal bats are. Park by the courtyard and walk up the walkway to the entrance. The first door to the right is the entrance to your space. San Luis Obispo County has added a 10% bed tax to Airbnb listings, so I will be collecting that fee upon arrival.

Autres remarques
The space is for only two people. Guests are free to explore the property: creek beds to investigate, hills to climb, and several miles of private roads to jog or hike. If you enjoy golf, right and left handed golf clubs and buckets of golf balls are available to practice your swing before visiting several premier local courses.

Spring at the vineyard is a wonderful time of year. The vines awaken in a blanket of green as the grapes begin to grow, and California Poppies put on a dazzling display. We carefully cultivate the crop until the harvest in the fall. Year-round, we enjoy the best of California wildlife: deer, hawks, falcons and song birds. And hanging out in the upper meadow is a pair of cooing doves . In the winter it can be windy and cold. And if we get rain, the dirt road may be hard to navigate. The warm season lasts from June through September; the cold season lasts from November through March.

Creston, Californie, États-Unis

On the Central Coast, halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, our vineyard is located approximately 14 miles East of the city of Paso Robles in a rural agricultural area. Straw Ridge Road is directly off Highway 41N, close to the town of Creston. We have great views of the sun rising and setting. No nearby neighbors, so if you want a reprieve from the city, this is the place for you.

After my husband’s retirement, and without any knowledge of growing wine grapes, we embarked on a new venture when we moved from southern California to California’s Central Coast. We put in 14 acres of vines consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. Our home sits on a knoll overlooking Strawridge Vineyard, established in 2002. Our first vintage, a 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon was crushed in our garage by some friends from the Wines and Steins Club. It turned out to be a very good wine, but alas, that wine has been appreciatively consumed. But, I am happy to share a bottle of our later vintages of Syrah or Cabernet Sauvignon with my guests. My life has been centered around my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. I love to host, and while the Airbnb is a new venture for me, I am not new at opening up my home to family and friends. I will do my best to make your experience enjoyable and relaxing. I am discounting my price and encouraging your feedback so that I can make this space a place you would want to return to.
