Description

Please read my listing - I have dogs that bark: Max. 2 guests - additional guests $15/night/guest. Large master suite, sitting area and full private bath with tub. Light-blocking drapes. This is a humble house in a humble neighborhood. It is at the very end of a dead-end street. Drive to the end of the street and turn left into my driveway. Do not park in my neighbor's driveway - pull in front of my house. You will have difficulty seeing the house until you have actually pulled in front of it.

In colder weather (only) I put fleece sheets on the bed; please specify if you prefer cotton. Please sleep between the sheets so I don't have to wash blankets. Please use sheets (in the closet if someone sleeps on the sofa.

You can invite friends or business associates over, but only paid guests may spend the night. Mini fridge in room.

Guests enter front door and immediately go left to enter the guest suite. The kitchen is available for use, but it is not a part of this listing and I would appreciate it if you wouldn't "rate" it if you choose to use it. It's not the greatest kitchen, but it works. Coffee and coffee making facilities are available in kitchen. There is a mini fridge in the guest room. I recommend that guests bring snacks and beverages as there are few restaurants and stores in the area.

I enjoy visiting with my guests, but I also leave you alone if you wish. Socializing is your call. I may knock on your door to meet you if you arrive when I'm not here.

I'm very familiar with the Pacific Northwest and can offer directions and ideas for entertainment. I love living here and know of many wonderful places to visit.

This listing is in an eclectic, ethnically-diverse, somewhat low-income neighborhood on the Puyallup Indian Reservation. The people in my neighborhood are friendly; the streets and houses are unsophisticated and some are a bit shabby, but they are safe. We don't have paved driveways or nice sidewalks. My house is located on a dead-end street that backs up to a green belt and creek. It is remarkably quiet here, but the Ritz it isn't!

To get to my house from Seatac Airport: Take bus rt. 574 (from terminal Bay 2) to Tacoma Station. Take bus 41 from Tacoma Station to E Roosevelt Ave and E 34th street. Walk two blocks down the hill to my house.

Close to the Tacoma Dome, Emerald Queen Casino and five blocks from I-5, this room is conveniently located. Pierce Transit runs through the neighborhood, and the Sounder train station is about 2 miles away. Seattle is 40 miles north. Mt. Rainier is an hour away - depending upon which part you want to see and wonderful hiking is all around.

I do not recommend walking to and from the Tacoma Dome or Tacoma Station since the journey will take you through some sketchy areas.

Two dogs live at this house. This is important! They do not enter the guest suite (unless you let them), but you will encounter them coming and going and my white dog will bark (she barks when I go or come) If I am not home when you arrive, please allow the white dog to get to know you a little before you attempt to pet her. Her name is Annie, and you can calm her with a firm rebuke. Just don't pet her right away, as this will make her nervous.

I keep my dogs quiet between about 9:00 PM and 6:45 AM weekdays and at least 7:30 AM weekends. Once I leave the house, they are free to bark, and they often do. So, if you want to sleep during the day (past these AM times) this is probably not a great place to stay.

It is very important that you latch the guest room doors when you close them so my terrier cannot push the door open.

Some times guests help themselves to things that are not included in my listing. I won't make a big deal out of this, but you might want to make a contribution for milk you drink or food you eat. The guest room does have a soaking tub, but filling it to the top several times during your stay is not what I consider within the bounds of the cost of staying here. I charge very little - please be respectful of that fact when making use of my utilities.

Règlement intérieur
Non fumeur
Ne convient pas aux animaux
Pas de fête ni de soirée
L'entrée dans les lieux se fait après 18:00

Quiet hours are 9:30 PM to 6:30 AM weekdays and 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM weekends. I will keep my dogs quiet during this time. Once I'm gone, all bets are off. They do bark if someone approaches the house, and often when anyone comes or goes.

Non-Negotiables:
-No smoking; no drug or marijuana use.
-Light alcohol is OK but no intoxication is permitted.
-Please do not access any pornographic material while staying here. If you will have difficulty honoring this request, please book elsewhere.
-Only registered, paying guests may spend the night, use the shower or take advantage of the amenities. No exceptions, please.

Children are welcome if are well-behaved. I do have some toys for younger tots.

Turn off heaters or the air conditioner when you will be gone for an extended period of time. The room heats or cools very quickly.
