À propos de ce logement
Enjoy the Rocky Mountain High of Keystone, Colorado! Our 5 bedroom home is right on the Snake River, between the Keystone Lake and Keystone Stables. We're a stone throw away from walking paths, hiking & biking trails, fishing, kayaking, 2 golf courses, gondola rides, shopping, fine dining and many other fun mountain activities.
If you have ever biked down the Snake River Bike Path, or walked along the Keystone Nature Trail, you have probably seen our house. We are the one you can see from the first bridge that crosses the Snake River, connecting the bike path and nature trail. The one next to the "bumpy bike path" with the big wrap around deck and hot tub overlooking the river. That's us! We live on a friendly trail intersection that is 2 blocks from the Keystone Stables, a short stroll from the Keystone Lake and a free shuttle away from River Run.

My brother and I grew up coming here in the summer, fishing in the back yard, riding bikes on the nearby trails and hiking to old mines on the neighboring mountains. We are also close to downhill mountain biking, whitewater rafting, off-roading, camping, shopping, fine dining, 2 golf courses, microbreweries, live music, as well as skiing and snowboarding in the winter.
The house is perfect for families or groups that want to get away from populated mountain lodging and be immersed in nature with friends and fellow guests. The house sleeps 13 comfortably and can accommodate up to 16 on pullouts and airbeds. Contact us first about booking for larger groups.
The house has a large open area that includes a kitchen, dining room and living room. There are tall ceilings, skylights, natural wood, large widows with a view of Buffalo Mountain and three siding doors that open to the hot tub and wrap-around deck overlooking the river.
Our listing includes three floors, with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The rooms have a king bed, a queen bed with single bed bunk on top, two twin beds, another queen bed, and a room with 2 bunk beds. We also have 2 airbeds.
The King Bedroom is up the spiral staircase on the second floor. It has tall ceilings, a King size bed and enough room to stretch out or inflate an airbed. It also has a large attached bathroom and private balcony overlooking the river. The views are beautiful and being on the second floor allows for peace & quiet away from the rest of the house.
The Queen bunk room is on the main floor with sliding door access to the deck. It has a bunk bed that has a queen mattress below and twin mattress on top. Most of the time it is used only as a queen bed, but the bed is heavy duty and sturdy enough for full grown adults, made of beautiful rustic, Colorado wood logs.
The Twin Room has 2 single beds with room for an air mattress. It has outside access to the deck leaving you steps away from the hot tub.
These two bedrooms on the main level share a bathroom and there is a 3rd bathroom at the bottom of the stairs.

If you are renting the entire house, Alisha, Boe and I will be taking a vacation. We will give you both of our phone numbers and have AirBnB friends that are local who can come over if you have any trouble or questions.
The best part of the house is it's proximity to the trail system along the Snake River. The "nature trail" runs through our backyard and the bike path is just on the other side of the bridge. Left will take you into Dillon and right leads to Keystone mountain. Even if you are only here for a day, we highly recommend walking down to the bridge to enjoy the view.
- Mom says "Take off your boots and shoes at the door."
- Dirty dishes go in the sink or dishwasher.
- Toss used towels down the basement stairs.
- Don't feed Boe people food.
- Don't bump your head on the stairs.
DRINK MORE H2O
Our house is at 9,200 feet and altitude sickness happens. The key to preventing altitude sickness is drinking a ton of water. If you drink one gallon of water at sea level, you'll need to drink MORE than two gallons up here.
Kyle is getting pretty good at hot tub chemistry. But his skills are no match for a big group that has been skiing all day. Please take a shower or at least rinse off before getting in the hot tub. Also, be very careful not to spill beer or other drinks in the hot tub and please no glass.
We're night people, usually getting quiet around 10/11pm and in bed by 12ish. But let us know if you have to be up early. We'll make sure to clean up and take Boe out before it gets too late.
We maintain a strict "No Moop'ing" policy at The Porcupine Court.
M.O.O.P stands for, "Matter Out Of Place". This consists of any abandoned matter found inside, or outside the house.
If you come across a lonely trail map that lost his ski buddy, pick him up and escort him to the nearest trash can.
If you find a crushed "Duff Lite" with dreams of becoming the next aluminum airplane wing, find her a promising recycling bin and give her the second chance she deserves.
The point is that this place, Keystone, Summit County, Colorado, Earth... is fricken beautiful! It's up to us, to keep it that way.
Do not litter. Leave no trace. Pack-it-in, Pack-it-out, recycle. You know the drill. Enjoy the beauty and preserve it for the next generations. Or at least your next trip and the guests you'll want to share it with.
To sweeten the deal! The Porcupine Court will provide complementary disposal and BONUS POINTS to anyone turning in delinquent MOOP. Please see a Porcupine Court representative for more details. : )
As many of you know, the state of Colorado has approved some very friendly legislation for those seeking "additional altitude" on their Rocky Mountain vacations. Talk to us about the best places to smoke so that no one feels uncomfortable.

My name is Kyle and I'm renting rooms in my family's house in Keystone, Colorado.
I work for an online animation studio and last summer had the unique opportunity to live wherever I wanted and work via the internet. So I grabbed Bodacious by the horns (that's my dog), convinced Alisha there would be running water and electricity (that's my girlfriend) and moved to Keystone Colorado!
The house has 3 rooms that we are currently renting with a large living room, dining room, and kitchen. We also have a very big deck with hot tub, grill, and an awesome view overlooking the Snake River.
