Description

This lovely 1 1/2 bedroom apartment is tucked between our historic home and my painting studio in the heart of Salem. Cello music can resonate through the walls while you prepare a meal in the kitchen or relax in your comfy living room!

There are so many sweet details in this charming flat: a very nice little kitchen, a large living room, a newly remodeled bathroom and the bedroom has a Full Bed with an optional twin bed in an adjoining half room. This is ideal for small families and close friends. The quiet Englewood neighborhood is in the heart of the Willamette valley and you will see a small sampling of my paintings throughout the space.
The kitchen is supplied with dishes and pans, a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender and my favorite take out menu's and pizza deliveries.

Off street parking is available next to the studio. A private entrance accessed through a nicely landscaped yard.

Your hosts are a family of four; a retired builder, an acrylic painter and a high school student who plays a lovely cello and a six year old. We have a dog named Snickers and a cat named Winnie. We love meeting everyone who stays in the flat and happy to share area details and answer your questions. Once you are settled in we are available if needed as we carry on with our busy lives. Rest assured that we will respect your privacy.

We live in a lovely old neighborhood where people walk the dogs and stop to say hello. The Englewood neighborhood park is just steps away. The flat is minutes from downtown, the State Capital, Hallie Ford Museum of Art and Willamette University.

The bus line runs Monday through Friday and the bus stops 2 blocks away. A convenience store is a four block walk and a grocery is a mile. We are happy to offer transportation to a from the train station if our schedule allows.

The Willamette valley is gorgeous, with an abundance of trees, fruits, vegetables and many parks. Salem is 45 miles south of Portland and the lush Willamette Valley lays between the Pacific Ocean and the Cascade Mountains, hosting Silver Falls State Park.

Corrine was absolutely wonderful, easy to work with and incredibly kind. She had fresh eggs, milk & bagels waiting for us when we arrived! The house was so charming and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is adorable and we'll definitely be back the next time we visit realatives in Salem!

Corinne was great. The place is super cute, and the neighborhood is very pretty. Great location and walkable to major sites, a park, and more. Quiet and private. Bonus to get to hear some lovely piano and violin practice from a talented musician next door in the early evenings!

Darling little spot in a lovely neighborhood in North Salem. Close to the University and the Capitol, easy access to parks, groceries, etc. The space is comfortable, pretty, well furnished and safe. Very private and quiet - the perfect spot for work or study, or relaxing! Corinne was very welcoming and even left some fresh fruit and coffee/milk and other goodies for me as a welcome when I checked in!

Corrine couldn't have been any nicer. She greeted us and even provided some bagels, cream cheese, juice and milk. The space was private. The only complaint we had was that the linens on the larger bed were older and the bed smelled dusty/musty, I really noticed it the first night when going to bed. The apartment seemed otherwise clean. I loved that there was a parking space and private entrance.

Corrine's apartment was very charming, quiet, and clean, which was just what my wife and I needed for a few days. Corrine was there to meet us when we arrived so check-in was very easy. I highly recommend staying here in Salem.

We moved into this Historic home in 2005, living in the flat you see on Air bnb. The house had been divided into 3 apartments which we slowly restored (my husband Curt has never run out of work)! I am an artist with a studio space over the garage where I work in acrylic paint systems. Our daughter is in high school and graces our home with wonderful music with her cello and piano.
We love living in this neighborhood, family, friends, art, music, history and people who laugh, smile and enjoy life.
