Pros: - The host is polite and welcoming, he accommodated our requests and was quick to reply. - The apartment location is very good. Cons: - The furniture, not very modern looking, it looked shabby in certain areas. - Duvets had no covers - Windows were dirty The price in comparison to the total experience wasn't a rip off but it wasn't the best deal either.

Ian's place is perfect for a small group of people, all the amenities you need. I reached out to Ian a couple of times with no response however had no challenges checkin without hearing from him. This is or second stay here and we look forward to coming back again.

My thoughts of Air BnB at 221 2nd Ave N, Salt Lake City The price was fair for a 5 night stay although the upstairs accommodations could definitely use some improvements or upgrades. Problems we found: Kitchen, toaster would not work but was replaced by owner the next day; no ice cube trays to make ice, no dish towels or dish cloths to wash and dry dishes; storage of food had to be on the small table in the kitchen or in the back pantry which left us with nowhere to sit down and eat a meal as a group. We had to use the small living room table and balance our plates on our laps when we all ate at the same time. Also the kitchen floor was very clean but also very slippery, we had to be careful not to slip and fall at times. Bathroom, for the most part it was good but was only given 6 towels and washcloths for a 5 night stay and with 3 ladies staying in the house we needed to ask for more clean towels on the third day so we didn’t have to keep using the same towels all week. The toilet paper supply was very close to not enough and a box of kleenex in the house somewhere would have been nice. Also, the old fashioned claw tub was cool but once you turned the shower on, the surrounding curtain would cling to you like a pesty cobweb, made showering a bit tricky. The small bedroom had no access to the closet due to it being blocked by one of the beds, no dresser or shelving to put clothes or personal items other than on the floor or your suitcase and was exceptionally cold when the air conditioning was on, unlike the rest of the place that stayed reasonably cool when we were running the fans provided. The electric outlets throughout the apartment were old and need work, the cords would fall out often and the outlets are worn. Also, there was no way to turn the light on in the larger bedroom closet that we could find that worked. A full size ironing board and an iron that has a steam adjustment that wasn’t broken would be a great addition. I burned a pair of pants using the iron not knowing the heat/steam option was set at a very hot setting. A full size broom would have made clean up much easier. Overall the apartment was clean, the furniture was adequate for the time we were there, the beds were comfortable, and the linens were good. The walk from the apartment to downtown SLC was a good 20 minute walk, either downhill or flat but walking back was strenuous in the heat of the day with the last few blocks on a pretty good hill. Spring or fall this walk would be okay but in the heat of summer or the cold and icy winters would make this...
