Bedroom has wood floors, exposed brick walls, skylight & queen-sized bed. Apartment has kitchen, bathroom & one other bedroom with roommate who is very kind, laid back, and frequently away. Neighborhood is vibrant w/best restaurants and bars in NYC.
The bedroom is large and beautiful and has a queen sized bed, a table with two chairs for eating dinner, AC, heat, amazing tower skylight, full-length mirror, iron and ironing board, and a large plant that would be so appreciative of some tender loving care! I will provide fresh sheets and fresh towels, but please remember to bring toiletries.
In addition to the bedroom, you will have access to a full bathroom with shower, and kitchen with fridge, oven, stove and really any kitchen accessory you could possibly need.
Apart from the large and beautiful bedroom, the neighborhood is really the selling point. The East Village is one of the most popular and vibrant neighborhoods in Manhattan, and home to NYC's best cafes, restaurants and bars. There are endless things to do at any time during the day and night. The EV's most popular brunch spot is actually located directly below the apartment, and the most reknowned coffee is directly across the street.
The East Village is extremely safe, but not quiet, there is always a lot going on. The apartment is just a few blocks from Union Square, the Lower East Side and the West Village -- all noteworthy neighborhoods.
All of your public transportation needs are covered here, as well. If you enjoy biking, there are two Citibike docks on my block, giving you access to Manhattan and Brooklyn. Seeing the city by bike is my favorite, and I believe a much more intimate and enriching experience. However, if you'd prefer to take the subway, there is a 6 train at Astor Place and an N/Q/R at the NYU (8th street) stop-- both just 4 blocks away.
Besides wonderful cafes, bars and restaurants, there are multiple grocery stores (I'd recommend Westside on 3rd ave and 12th st), movie theatres (AMC Loews Village 7), drugstores, music venues (Webster Hall), thrift stores, salons, upscale clothing stores, Tompkins Square Park...etc...I know the neighborhood extremely well and it's by far my favorite place in NYC, so if you'd like a recommendation I encourage you to text or email me, I'd be happy to help!

If you need help with anything while you're staying here, please email (EMAIL HIDDEN) and I will do my best to reply promptly. If my roommate, Jonah, is home, don't hesitate to ask him for help/suggestions -- he's a great guy!
The apartment is a walk-up (there are three flights of stairs). The location and the room make it well worth it (and it's nice to get a little leg workout in)!
Make yourself at home, of course, but please be courteous of my space and things and leave it as you found it. That's really all I ask! My roommate is extremely friendly and may or may not be around when you stay, but feel free to interact with him and ask him neighborhood recommendations. As the kitchen and bathroom are shared spaces, please be sure to keep them tidy.
