The cottage is cute and quaint, tucked in a nice corner of the beautiful property. We loved driving along the dirt road and spotting beautiful birds in the marsh. It really feels like an untouched spot of Florida. The trees around the cottage are gorgeous, dripping with Spanish moss. The space itself is all you need if you just want a place to rest after enjoying the beach and time in town at St. Augustine.
The property is beautiful. You can't really see the river full on, but you do get a glimpse and we watched sailboats glide by from the patio. At night, the sky is drenched with stars since you're far enough away from the city lights. Loved that part.
We walked to the beach and used the access from their beach property to enjoy Vilano. It's not right outside the door, but it's an easy stroll and quite convenient.
You're not completely isolated on the property - you can see the pavilion on the other side, closer to the river (which looks like a great place to stay too!) and there is a work station on the opposite side so you may hear some noise from that. It didn't really bother us at all, but that's just something to be mindful of if you want complete seclusion.
Wina made check in/out a breeze - she gave some of the best dining recommendations we could have hoped for. Go to Cap's! I'll dream about that meal and the location for a sunset is prime.
Overall, highly recommend!
