Free parking and bicycles and a charming former Waterland farmhouse in a small village in a National Landscape at only 15 bus minutes from the Amsterdam Central Station. The farm, a 'Stolp boerderij' situated somewhat retreated from the main road, is characteristic for the region and was recently turned into a beautiful private living space including B&B. The historical polder landscape is not only close to Amsterdam but also on cycling distance from towns like Volendam, Edam, Monnickendam and the village of Broek in Waterland.
The farm is renovated in the wooden Waterland style with warm colours and a hospitable and friendly atmosphere. In the farm two separate units are available for guests: the Farmer's Wedding (Boerenbruiloft) on the groundfloor, looking into the front garden, and the Hay Loft on the second floor under the tilting roof. Both with their own bathroom. The Boerenbruiloft is a one room (30m2)unit with a big spacious bathroom (bath, separate shower, WC, bidet, 2 wash basins) is. Tea/coffee-sets are available in the rooms. Breakfast is served in the farmers kitchen or the spacious garden room. Being a farm you can expect some animals in and around this house: our dog Bram, our cats and our hens in the garden.
Connections: bus stop at 2 minutes from the house, a bus every 5-10 minutes.
