Cara’s home was exactly as promised. We found it to be spotless and with an excellent supply of towels and linens and it has very comfortable beds. She was also kind enough to leave some items in the fridge as well as tea/coffee and condiments. Harris Farms is just a short walk down the road with an amazing selection of fresh foods. Detergents for the laundry & kitchen were also supplied and that was a nice surprise
The neighborhood has lots of restaurants and places to hang out. It’s quite noisy at night with the restaurants and the trucks doing their thing in the early hours but I wouldn’t let this deter you. It’s a very short walk to the beach; Cara supplied beach towels as well as an umbrella which was greatly appreciated. It has a large wraparound balcony; the breeze it afforded was great especially since there’s no a/c. The sun shades kept it cool during the day. Luckily it wasn’t too hot at night as there was only 1 fan.
The only stumbling blocks were an elevator that didn’t work the entire 16 days we were there, carrying 4 heavy suitcases up and down was a problem. The intercom system doesn’t work to the unit, you can buzz someone in but you don’t know they’re there unless they call/text. The satellite tv was extremely temperamental, more off than on but we managed. The wifi was perfect
This is out of Cara’s control but it’s very important…make sure you don’t have a large car. Getting down the garage ramp and into or out of the parking spot is extremely tight.
We would definitely recommend Cara’s home. Even though she was away she was prompt to reply to any queries or problems we had. Look after her home if you rent it, we’d use it again.
Enjoy Bondi and you’re home-away-from-home
