Hang out among the hundred year old beech trees, walk along the creek, say hello to the farm animals, sleep down in the meadow, and enjoy a camp fire. You're just a 5-minute walk to the heart of Saxapahaw. Platform does not include tent.
If this is already booked, please message us - there is room for plenty of tents. The camping platforms are in a meadow on a beautiful farm in Saxapahaw. You're a 5-minute walk to an old restored mill with a butcher shop, brewery, 2 delicious restaurants and a world-class music venue. There are lots of awesome trails around the property and along the Haw River which is right across the street. The meadow is private - you can have it to yourself or it's possible there will be others camping. There is plenty of room. There is an outhouse, access to water, and access to power to plug in your phone (not close enough for a fan). Reservation does not include tent.

We love guests and hope to visit as time, schedules and your interest permits. We are very busy working on the farm and an off-farm job so not typically very available.
There is a 200 yard walk from the parking area to the camping meadow.
There is no lock. If you are concerned, please lock valuables in your car.
Please drive slowly on roads and check under your car for birds before leaving the parking area.
If the red front gate is closed, please close it behind you. There is a chain but it’s never locked.
ANIMALS: Please do not enter any animal pens and assume that all fences are electrified.
We have three dogs that guard the property and protect the animals. You may see them. They bark at first but are very friendly. There is also a black cat that sometimes comes down to visit our guests. Her name is Onyx. If any of our animals bother you, please let us know! Because other pets mess up the balance at our farm, we do not allow them and make no exceptions. You may hear farm animals at night.
WEATHER: Heat – it's hot in the summer. Check the weather channel. The spaces are hottest around 2-5pm and cool down significantly at night. Cold – it's cold in the winter. Dress accordingly. Rain – paths can get slippery in the rain. Be careful!
BUGS: You will likely see a bug or two of some sort. We do not have many mosquitos.
FIREWOOD: We try to keep some in the dry box near the fire pits, but encourage you to gather your own as well. Firewood is not guaranteed. If you gather your own wood, please use the hand saw provided and do not burn outside of the fire pit. Please put out fires before leaving and before bed. For provisions, check out the General Store in Saxapahaw.
NOISE: You will hear farm animal sounds and some times our dogs or neighboring dogs can bark loudly. We recommend that you bring ear plugs just in case.
Privacy: The yurt and bus rentals are in the adjacent meadow. There may be other campers in the meadow.
Drive slowly down the driveway. Do not enter animal pens. No pets please. Assume all fences are electrified.

My family and I (2 women, 2 teenagers and a baby) own Cane Creek Farm and we have a number of Airbnb options on our property: a yurt, 2 buses, camping shelter, and multiple camping platforms. We have 37 beautiful acres in the heart of Saxapahaw and we're running a working farm with happy and healthy, pastured and woods -raised animals. Eliza is my partner and runs the farm. We are a short (5-7 minute) creek-side walk into town and the farm has numerous walking trails and scenic spots to rest, reflect and relax. We hope you'll come out and enjoy this place that we love so much!
