Nice rustic cabin, not super big but perfect for 2 or 4 people. Lake was calm and quiet when we were there. Really enjoyed the dock, kayak and paddle board. Overall nice cottage experience.

We stayed at Krista's cottage for 4 nights with extended family, our dogs and our young child. It was a perfect rustic Muskoka experience and our time in the area was very relaxing and enjoyable. The cottage is cozy but we always found something fun to do. The walk down to the water does take some care, as mentioned in other reviews, but the lake was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed using the SUP boards and swimming. Each night, we enjoyed sitting around the bon fire. The amenities within the cottage were ample for our stay; however, one minor suggestion that I have for future renters is to empty your garbage/recycling on a daily basis or every other day so you don't accumulate a lot of waste at the end of your stay. You have to bring your garbage with you when you leave since there is no waste disposal on-site. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Communication with the host before, during and after our stay was excellent!

Krista’s place was a great getaway in the heart of Muskoka’s lakes. Quick drive to Port Carling for ice cream, LCBO and groceries! The cottage was rustic and all you needed when enjoying the outdoors! We spent most of our time on the dock and lots of water toys to keep the kids busy. Krista was a great host, very responsive! 5/5 would recommend.

Great spot for a relaxing stay in nature! The privacy is pretty good, and you immediately feel like you have been plunked in the middle of great Canadian nature. We heard loons on the lake in the morning which is always a cottage country treat! It is a very quick drive to town, which is great if you want to take a break from the cottage for some ice cream/brunch/shopping, or need some supplies. You can sometimes hear the highway sounds a bit from the cottage, as everything is so close, but in general it is pretty quiet. The cottage is very comfortable, it is fairly rustic but has everything you need! The grill is great, nice and big. We had one rainy day and the cottage is nicely set up with couches and comfy chairs in the living room, perfect for an afternoon of reading and games. The lake is very pretty and we had fun with the SUP boards! The dock is beautiful. Two things i would mention: if you have travellers with you that are older/frail, the trip down the hill to the dock can be a bit tricky (but this is the case with many cottages), and also if you need lifejackets for adults remember to bring your own (there are only a couple infant sized ones there). Krista is a great host, and very responsive to messages.

Great little place tucked in the trees. We really enjoyed the water 'toys' - kayak, row boat, paddle boards, lily pad. Our dog had an awesome time as well! The mosquitos were excessive but that's out of anyone's control. Lots of kitchenware available.

The extras such as the lily pad for swimming and the SUP were great for entertaining the kids. Hosts were always quick to respond. Lovely cottage close to Port Carling.
