An absolutely cracking Cotswolds' cottage in one of the most attractive villages (about 1.5 miles from Stow on the Wold). Tucked down a little no through lane and overlooking fields to the rear this is a lovely holiday home, where a family or friends can enjoy a wonderful break.

Entrance through to small lobby area with hooks for coats and space for shoes and boots etc.
Kitchen / Diner, fully equipped and with all mod cons - 4 ring elec hob, oven and grill, large fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, digital radio and plenty of catering kit. There is a large dining table with 6 chairs
Living Room, a good size room with a lovely view towards the fields, made cosy by the beams and wood burning stove within the inglenook fireplace. There are two large sofas and a rocking chair, large TV with Freeview and DVD player plus ipod dock.

First Floor
Master Bedroom with King size double bed (5ft), wardrobes and chest of drawers and a view towards the village.
Bathroom with large bath, separate walk in shower, WC and washbasin
Additional Toilet is on this floor with WC and washbasin
There's a delightful window seat here from which to view the countryside and wildlife - the owner has even taken the step to leave some binoculars for you.

Second Floor A (via staircase 1, which is quite steep)
Bedroom Two with two single beds and chest of drawers. The room is a good size.

Second Floor B (via a separate, and again steep staircase)
Bedroom Three, a lovely bedroom with King size double bed (5ft), wardrobe and chest of drawers.

To the front of the house is a large patio garden with table and 6 chairs, south facing and perfect for morning and evening moments. To the rear is a small courtyard, completely enclosed, with a table and chairs and with open views. There is parking at the property for two cars and ample on street parking (unrestricted) about 10 seconds walk from your door.

Full access to the house and private gardens.

The owner is on hand to help with anything you may need or want during your stay, but will not impact on your stay at all.

This cottage is situated in the heart Lower Swell, every inch the classic Cotswolds village! Surrounded by rolling countryside this is quintessential Cotswolds in many ways. A cracking local pub is literally around the corner (run by a local brewery) where you are just as likely to see David Beckham as you are to see the local farmer (the former is supposedly buying the local manor!) along with a host of beautiful buildings including a pretty church. As you'd expect there are many walks into the surrounding countryside. As the cottage is located on the way 'out' of Lower Swell it is also very close Stow on the Wold, which is about 1 mile away, a 10 min walk up a foot path.

For those who like to walk, you can reach Stow via a path which goes straight into the heart of the town all in about 30 min's (about 1 mile away). Stow, of course, is one of the Cotswolds most famous market towns, renowned for its quality shops, cafes and restaurants. Very much a working town, there is a market day each month as well some excellent little festivals which pepper the year.

Surrounding the town are a host of stunning villages with their pubs, which are well worth taking in and viewing. There are few better places to be than this area if you want to see 'classic Cotswolds'. The Slaughters are infamous and incredibly beautiful (so too are Lower and Upper Swell!)

Ever popular and beautiful is Bourton on the Water which is about 8 min's drive away, while places such as Burford, Moreton in Marsh and Chipping Campden are equally easy to get to. If you're coming with the children then we would definitely recommend the Cotswold Farm Park (Guiting Power) and the Cotswold Wildlife Park (nr Burford). Again, we could go on, but there is plenty to enjoy.

Finally but not least, you really must try some of the local National Trusts Gardens, including Kiftsgate and especially Hidcote Manor Gardens, one of the best in the country.

The cottage is pet friendly and the owner can provide a cot and high chair free of charge. You also have 2 off street parking spaces and ample on street parking if you need it.
Please note: Friday changeover in peak seasons.

I work for Manor Cottages! We are a boutique cottage agency specialising in holiday properties in the Cotswolds and Bath region, an area about 1 -2 hours to the west of London (depending on where you are travelling to of course). We visit and and check all of our cottages and in many cases actually manage them too. Either way, you can be certain of the standard and style and description of the property being of a high standard and if it is more basic then we'll make sure you know this.
We're friendly, we're approachable and (of course) we're based in the area so we know it like the back of our hands. What we're not, however, is a large multi-national company stuck in a call centre with thousands of cottages - you will be pleased to know.
Finally you'll be pleased to know that any property we advertise really exists! Not that we're pointing fingers at anyone out there, but we do get to hear of some horror stories of cottages not existing when a customer arrives..... imagine that.
Anyway, we are here to help you and help you get the cottage holiday you want and are looking for.
