The door is open so please come right in and make yourself at home in your room. We share the Decks, Gardens, Bedroom, Bath, Dining Area, Dog and Cat Petting and Hiking Trails:) Because I serve breakfast, we do not share our kitchen but we will put your leftovers in the fridge, unless it is something we really like... Ha Ha!

Échanges avec les voyageurs

We are never too busy to answer our guest's questions or help them plan the perfect day!

Le quartier

We are nestled right in the edge of the Stanislaus National Forest. Some of our other guests, have mentioned that they see more wildlife around our home then they do in the National Park. Our guests are always surprised to wake up to the view and quiet of the forest, especially if they arrive after dark. Because we are very rural we do not have streetlights so it is wonderful for stargazing.

This was one of the most lovely airbnb homes I have stayed in to date. Michelle was incredibly warm and welcoming, both in person and even through communication before our arrival. When we arrived she and her husband were there to greet us and help us settle in, and gave us recommendations for dinner. This warm and kind treatment lasted throughout our stay, from delicious breakfasts lovingly prepared by Michelle, to suggestions of where to go and what to see, to offers of shortcuts to expedite our journeys. One of our days we traveled to Yosemite, and Michelle packed us the most delicious lunch in lieu of breakfast. Michelle's home is simply gorgeous and situated in a beautiful area of this community, surrounded by nature. The room itself was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. We hope to come back soon!

Michelle's place is amazing! It's a very nice and spacious room, bathroom is right outside bedroom door which makes everything super convenient. The waterbed is SOOOO comfortable! literally struggled to leave bed in the mornings!! for real!! We had Michelle's homemade yummy breakfast on the front porch, and when we left early to yosemite she packed us lunch :) Michelle is very familiar with the area and gives the best recommendations! We enjoyed our stay so much! 10/10 would recommend!!

Michelle is the MOST welcoming host, greeting everyone with a big hug, a bigger smile and an even bigger breakfast. Everything was as easy and clear as possible. The setting in the Sonora woods is spectacular, which can be enjoyed from the vantage point of the fabulous outdoor shower. We took our leisurely (and absolutely delicious) breakfast on the front porch, which was fantastic at 8am on a summer morning. We enjoyed our stay so much that we felt compelled to stay on an extra night, though an extra 3 or 4 nights might have been better.

Michelle's house was amazing. She is a lovely host - super thoughtful, a great cook and just a warm, welcoming person. We very much enjoyed the stay and would love to visit her again. The trails at Yosemite National Park are a bit far from her home but there are other towns near her home that offer wine tasting, hiking, kayaking and other adventures that would make her house ideal for a weekend stay.

Michelle was a great host! She made a warm welcome and always looked for ways to make a great stay for us = me and my boyfriend. She prepared a really good and nutritionally balanced breakfast for us. She was kind to make us a great lunch bag when we went for a hike instead of the breakfast. The room was spacious and clean and had a nice view from it. The room was at the end of a hallway giving a sense of privacy. The bathroom was a shared bathroom if there was other Airbnb visitors. It was really nice and clean. Michelle and her husband Scott had plenty of good tips to share and they were happy to share them. We were able to use their fridge, but the kitchen was not shared otherwise. The only thing we were missing was a chance to use basic things like a plate and cutlery to eat some of our own things. We totally recommend this place!

This is the best of Airbnb! Michelle and Scott's home is lovely, warm, and super clean. They are incredible hosts, ready with plenty of recommendations for hikes and activities in the area & Yosemite. The waterbed felt great after a long day of hiking - the room and bathroom were very comfortable and just what we needed. Michelle kindly packed us lunches (instead of making us breakfast) the first two days and they were FANTASTIC. Our breakfast on the morning we left was delicious. We so enjoyed getting to know the hosts and would heartily recommend their home to anyone. The area is a great launching point into Yosemite (~45 min to the park if you follow Michelle's shortcuts) and then another hour or so into the park. Allow yourself ~2 hrs to get where you want to go in the park, leave early, and book a parking pass in advance online! Cell service is spotty everywhere so figure out your plan for dinner while you still have wifi, there are some great options but not super easy to find. We recommend the Elizabeth Lake hike in Tuolumne Meadows and the full Mist/John Muir Trail in Yosemite Valley. The meadows are much quieter than the valley which we greatly preferred. On our way out of town we stopped in Sonora to explore the antique shops and museum. There's so much to do and see we easily could have spent weeks exploring the area.

We stayed at Michelle's house for one night before going to Yosemite. It's in a very pretty area. The room was comfortable but it's actually a waterbed, which we did not expect. It's clean and satisfactory. Be sure to to read the house guidelines carefully as the host has strict rules about the areas in the house you can access. Also, make sure to plan ahead for meals because you won't be able to cook food in the home. We didn't meet the hosts because we were out most of the time, but they did pack us a nice picnic lunch for the day because they left too early to make breakfast.

Réponse de Michelle :
Thank You Jehan-Are and we really appreciated your understanding of our Holiday outing to accept a picnic lunch in trade for breakfast. I do state in the listing that it is a waterbed, but not just any waterbed... it is a Soma System, that we affectionately call, The Coma Bed, because it is so comfortable. Also, I have to follow the Safe Food Handling Codes for our area, and that is why I do not share my kitchen. Because we serve our guests a sit down breakfast. I would love to look at your listing, as I am always open to ideas about hosting. So if you have a moment you could tell me what town you are in and the name of the listing. Maybe I can let you spoil me sometime:) Thank you again for your feedback! Michelle
