À propos de ce logement
This is a front bedroom of a 150 year old house looking directly at Guildford main railway station out the window!
The room contains a sizable double bed, a wardrobe, another built in wardrobe space, a side cabinet and also a desk, 2 lamps and chair.
The room is warm and cosy although not the biggest in the house.
It has a view of the station and the busy life of the town centre outside - which is rather unique!
There is storage and a place to work.
For use of a shower you would need to go downstairs and through the living room, and kitchen (which you are most welcome to also make use of!) and you will have use of a shower, sink and toilet.
Facilities for washing and drying clothes, cooking and food storage also available.
The house is shared: I live there as well as a lodger who has been there for 2 years and a further room that is also listed on airbnb - guests who book this room will all be part of the airbnb community.

I'll be able and willing to help with any difficulties, and will be constantly available either by phone or at the house.
At weekends the room can pick up on the noise of the late night revellers as they stroll into town for a night out - if you choose to sleep with the window open you could find out how lively Guildford can get at night!
On the other hand you may want to join in the fun!
Please enjoy the house and be respectful to everyone who is there - the aim is for you to have the best possible stay!

Hello I'm Stuart (or Stu to my friends),
Summing myself up isn't easy - I'm sure I'm speaking for everyone when they are asked the same question!
For 20 years I worked as a youth worker and am trained quite highly in work with difficult youngsters which is what I did in places like the South London estates.
Since then I've been a bit more creative, with acting and music but mainly film extra work. If you look carefully you'll be able to spot me on lots of period dramas such as Downton Abbey, Call the Midwife and Mr Selfridge.
Added to that I've worked on big films such as the Avengers : Age of Ultron, the new Bond film, Mission Impossible 5, and many others that I'm not allowed to mention.
Here's a few bits of trivia:
I've done stand up comedy before and like to make people smile.
The most famous person I ever met was Mother Theresa - In India with a group of youngsters in 1995.
I've travelled as a backpacker to 76 countries.
I play the harmonica as well as piano + guitar.
I'm always looking for new experiences and challenges, and am keen to get off the beaten track in life whenever I can(URL HIDDEN)
My iPhone, My Friends, Veggie Food, Travel Books and Maps, Proper Music, Inspiring Films + TV, Inspiring People.
My next 10 places to go:
- Yemen (Sana'a and Socotra)
Fave books - travel books and books linked to film + tv productions I've worked on.
Fave movies :
- Shawshank Redemption
- Blues Brothers
- Pulp Fiction
- James Bond
- Robert De Niro related films
Fave Music / Bands
- Pink Floyd
- Led Zeppelin
- Eric Clapton
- Irish Folk
- Chill Out
I'm very happy go lucky as a person but feel very strongly its important to cram in as many life experiences as I can into life. To travel as far as I can, meet as many amazing people as I can and be able to tell hundreds of different stories - or find some quietness and connect with the world around me as it tries to connect with me.
