-Abundant wildlife.

-A grass lot to park your RV or a tent.
-It is a great place for hunters/fishermen/getaway in a rural community next to Wayne National Forest & Lake Jackson!
-Nearby is some of the best Deer & Turkey hunting in the nation.
-Also great fishing, camping, boating, swimming, Horse/ATV/Hiking trails, & historic areas.

-The lot is large & sort of secluded, but is next to a State Route & a cabin.
-The area surrounding it is woods, farms, cabins, & a few homes most with several acres separating them.
-The parking is grass/gravel.

-PLEASE if anything is not right or we missed something let us know as soon as possible. We want you to have a good stay!

-This place is friendly!
-There is several Covered Bridges in the area. Map links in Guidebook.
-Boone & Crocket Record Area, visitors come from all over the US & Canada.
-There is an old iron ore furnace 1000 feet away if you want to see some history! There are many in the area.
-There is several Covered Bridges in the area.
-Beautiful most any time of year, Fall is spectacular colors, some of the best in the nation.
-There is a book written about this place, lot's of history!
-Jackson Lake is only a 7 miles away. Great fishing! Nearby bait & snack store, parking, picnic tables, & outhouse at the dock. Lots of bluegill, great for young & newbies.
-Vesuvius Lake is 18 miles away, very nice facilities & kayak & canoe rentals there. There is also very nice hiking trails & fishing piers. Really nice picnic areas.
-Wayne National Forest surrounds the whole area. Great hunting, hiking, ATV & horse trails! About 4 miles away is hiking trails with parking.
-Some of the trails are challenging so bring food, water, first aid kit, flashlight, etc. & warm clothing. If you get lost or injured, it can get cold at night even in warm months.
-Across the road from our farm in a small community of mini-farms, cabins, & homes.
-There is a seldom used (once a month) community center next door. (But you can use the Gazebo!)
-Surrounded by Wayne National Forest & Dean State Park.
-There is often deer & other wildlife on the property.
-The old Church down on the road was I believe a station of the Underground Railroad.
-Plenty of private parking. Plenty room for autos, campers, RV's, horse trailers, tents, or buses (grass).
-Next to State Route 93 in Blackfork.

-There is no public transportation. There is a taxi service in Jackson, Ohio.
-There is mechanics, auto parts, tire shops, towing services, ambulance, Fire Department, & other services nearby in Oak Hill.

-There are fruit trees planted on the grounds & many wild blackberries & raspberries if you can catch in season you can pick some if you like. Be certain you know they which edible!
-Sometimes we have extra free range tasty eggs, ask if you want a few & if we have them we will gift a few. Sometimes they lay good sometimes they are on strike! (Or in a mood to brood) :)
-We keep goats & if you want to pet them it's OK just ask first. Often you will see the babies.
-OK if you make a campfire.

L'entrée dans les lieux se fait après 10:00

-No loud noise, especially quiet after 9:00 PM
-Please leave no trash or debris.
-Please respect the space of anyone staying in the nearby cabin.
-Any places on the space with weeds or not mowed is likely a hole you can't see so don't step there.
-Be certain to keep your fire from setting a forest fire, you are responsible should that happen. Use the fire pit & don't build it too big. Fall is fire season.
-It is illegal to burn outside a grill or fire pit.
-The outhouse is owned by the Church house so if you use it please leave it clean & shut the door when done.
-Be careful not to run over our little fruit & nut orchard, young trees are at the edge.
-We are NOT responsible for accidents or your safety. There are risks involved & by booking you agree to be responsible for your own safety & actions.

-We have a small general contracting business building tiny homes shell to complete, log homes, & insulated poured concrete walls, foundations, storm shelters, & safe rooms on or off-grid. We specialize in energy efficiency!
-Our small farm in southern Ohio has dairy goats, mostly to sell to small dairy goat farmers, free range chickens, perennial edibles, herbs, & some vegetables.
-The photo is the view from the front porch!
-Enjoy traveling & hope to eventually visit every State & Canada.
-In the past we've had several horses & love them.
-We enjoy history, great food, cookouts, fishing & camping.
-We love people, meeting people from other places & backgrounds, & hope to give everyone a break from the grind & things life throws at you to recharge & relax!
