À propos de ce logement
This is the room is a remarkably tranquil space. Guests love the fact that we are only 5 miles from the center of town and it offers them the opportunity to wake up in the very tranquil countryside and then a place to retire to in the later afternoons or evenings after a day shopping in San Miguel. It has it's own private entrance, a spiral staircase to a private roof to terrace with sweeping views of the Bajio valley.
It has a fireplace a small sitting space for reading and is my favorite room.
This room is the most private of all the rooms we have and is very tranquil. It has it´s own entrance from the front of the house and it´s own outdoor access to the rooftop terrace via a circular staircase only one level up.
2 kilometros from Hacienda La Cieneguita (wonderful if you are attending weddings there) and 3 kilometros from Hacienda San José La vista.
Looking at my profile and my wish list in San Miguel will show you all the properties I manage that are all in the same location. Whichever you select , we promise to help make your stay memorable.

My husband and I live on the property and are available most days to help in any way we can. We love to meet new people but are very respectful of others privacy. The main floor of the house has hours where we have a fully stocked bar at an additional cost if you´d like to buy a cocktail or glass of wine or beer to enjoy time by the fire in the main living room or to take to the terrace.
The house, ¨La Chispa¨is located 9 kilómetros (exactly) from the center of downtown San Miguel. It is a 10 to 15 minuet drive away depending on traffic. It offers a very tranquil environment with many birds, trees and peaceful surroundings. If the town center is what you´d love to be in, you may want to look for another location closer.
Private yoga and massages appointments can be made so, let us know in advance if you´d like us to help you make those arrangements. The fees for these can be paid directly to the service providers.
If you are staying for more than 4 days I will work with you to get additional cleaning of your room and a change of sheets.
It is important to note that there are times when the local community has fiestas and may block the main road to the house. In those cases, there is a back road access Please let us know how we can help should you need anything.
It has come to our attention that WAZE mobile application is commonly used here in Mexico. It will give you poor and long misleading directions to La Chispa. Please make sure you are in touch with me and use (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps if any way possible. It will get you right here.
We do have a strict no smoking policy indoors and would ask you to respect this rule. There is plenty of outdoor space and you are free to smoke out there. Please keep doors to the rooms closed if you use the balconies to smoke.
We want you to feel comfortable and at home using the property and the public areas open to all. As there are various spaces here, being respectful of others is always a kind thing to do so if your using the terraces late at night, please keep in mind others may be sleeping.
We are very respectful to you and your personal space and we ask that you are the same with the spaces at La Chispa.
Please enjoy the space and enjoy the comforts, the peace, the art and just take some time to relax. It´s all about you having a tranquil space to melt into at the end of the day. Hey, even in the middle of the day if you like.
I am happy to provide a light breakfast to guests but do need to know the day before if you´ll want to eat here in the AM. Usually I have fruit, granola, yogurt, oatmeal and eggs with bacon or sausage toast and juice of some kind. I also make a pretty good Belgium waffle or French toast with prior arrangements. Breakfast time can be flexible but as a rule of thumb it´s from 8:30 to 11:30.
I have maps of the area, guidebooks, and will be more than happy to give you pointers about all there is to do in San Miguel.
If you´d like massages, yoga or a pedicure or manicure, let me know in advance and I´ll be more than happy to help make your appointments. Many services can be arranged to be given here on the property or on the roof top terrace.
Small well behaved pets that don´t sleep in the bed are welcome. Our dogs are very friendly after they are introduced and we´ve had no problems. I know that it can be hard to find a place to stay with your pet and we will do all we can to accommodate you and them.

My husband and I are both travelers and have come together from worlds apart.
Him from South Africa , England , USA and Japan and me, well from all over too! I have always had a yearning to return to Mexico where I spent so many years as a child and fortunately for me my husband thought it would be a good idea too.
We have built this place around an old 16th century chapel that was a complete ruin. It has been rebuilt out of the original stones and the feel of the space is old Haciendas meets modern upgrades.
We love meeting people and, as travelers ourselves, respect the privacy of others. When you’re away from home sometimes you just want to chill. We understand that. If visiting and learning about the area is of interest we´re always happy to help and love company.
I love to cook and opened a restaurant in San Miguel years ago that my sister now runs but cooking is still my passion.
If you visit and want to celebrate something special, we can talk about having the event here in this lovely space in the country. I can cook most anything and that includes Vegan (with enough notice).
Everyone loves San Miguel but, not everyone ventures out to the country. You will see so much more than a stay just in the city offers. There is so much history, wine routes, the Mescal routes and the history that are just as much a part of the experience as the town itself.
The weather, the history, the art the food and the people all come together to make this a wonderful city to visit no matter where you stay. We would be honored to host you.
