Eco Cove is a wildlife sanctuary that adjoins the Pisgah National Forrest. The property is 117 acres of lush forests and meadows, with an acre pond and gardens. We are centrally located to all of Western North Carolina: 30 minutes to Asheville, Biltmore House,and the Nature Center. 20 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Falls and Caverns, 10-15 minutes to Catawba Falls and Tom's Creek Falls, and 7 minutes to Marion or Old Fort (we're half way between in Pleasant Gardens, NC)

Guests have the entire house and may use the picnic pavilion and pond, with clean-up inherent in its use. There is a grill, picnic table, lots of chairs and some tire inner tubes. Children must be accompanied at all times by an adult. We do have a day bed in the open den area that is appropriate for children, but at an additional cost for more than 4 people.

Our home is on the property. Our home phone is . We are happy to accommodate your requests if possible, with any needs or local knowledge advice. We like to have guests over for a get together if they are staying for awhile! We built a 75 foot schooner in California, sailed it to the Caribbean, and chartered for up to 6 guests for a week at a time in the Virgin Islands for 14 years. We also built a 3 bedroom home in St. Thomas where we did weekly rentals. We have lots of (true) sea stories to tell if you are interested!
To reach Eco Cove House from the east, Interstate 40, exit 72, Highway 70, 7/12 miles to Liberty Church Road (right after the blinking yellow light). From the west, take exit 86 North (a right turn) onto highway 226. Travel 6.2 miles to 70 highway and turn left. Liberty Church Road is 4 miles down, on your right. Follow it to the end.
There is satellite TV, DVD, VCR and a collection of movies onsite. We have internet access at our house, and you are welcome to use it here.
Groceries, restaurants, bars, tennis courts, and golfing are available in Marion. We live on a state maintained road only 1/2 mile from 70 highway. See directions on getting around.
The home is fully furnished and has many family art works. It is not a party place, and any additional guests must be approved by the owners. It is non-smoking or tobacco products, and allows no pets. We are family friendly.

A retired librarian from the local community college. Before that, my husband Ed and I built a 75 foot schooner and sailed from California to the Virgin Islands where we chartered for 14 years. Our daughter, Lyric, was born there and now works for women's rights in Washington, DC.
