À propos de ce logement
In a wild 1 acre garden, this split level house has the feeling of a retreat. With immediate access to lovely walks and 5 mins. drive to the Loch Insh Outdoor centre, ideal for summer (cycling, horse-riding, safari park) and skiing in winter. We now have a local house-keeper who will provide bed-linen and towels (so the price reflects that now) and she cleans the house, though it's helpful if you keep it as tidy as you can. NO SMOKING plse
This house is our 2nd home (and is equipped as such) where we try to retreat to it from our busy lives in Glasgow as often as we can. The kitchen should have anything you need, including tea-bags, herbs etc. We only want to rent it out enough to cover running costs. Plus we hope to put a hot-tub in at some point. Our friends have commented it does have a Scandinavian feel to it (probably because of the pine floors and pared-back decor). We have recently installed 40 meg fibre broadband and a 50" Ultra HD LED TV to give our visitors the option. We have better quality family time with the TV and wifi switched off and have made more memories and had great conversations in this house. There's plenty of space for two families (4 adults and 6 children). PLEASE NOTE that I've changed the advert from 10 to 8 to reflect the fact that 10 adults would be too much of a squeeze (much reduced floor space in the bunk rooms due to the trundle beds) although drop me a line if you don't mind that! Finally, it's got great access to cycling and walking routes in the area.
Accès des voyageurs
Not suitable for wheelchair access unfortunately. Space for 2 cars and the garage can be used to secure a car (if you move the table-tennis table out the way) and bikes, skis, kayaks.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We are available on our mobiles as we live in Glasgow. But we have contacts in the village if necessary for assistance.
Please note that on arrival the house's storage heaters will already be on but can be boosted by using the electric heaters as, if you are checking in later in the day, the storage heaters may be generating less heat as they kick back in the following morning. The open fire is useful to make the upstairs living room cosy. See the house instructions which I will email, for info on extra baskets of wood.
We will provide one basket of logs for your booking but if you use any more logs than this we will need to charge you extra (this ensures that future guests have logs available to them).
Only 1 dog allowed.
Si vous annulez jusqu'à 5 jours avant votre voyage, vous recevez un remboursement intégral, frais de service compris.
I'm a retired IT Project Manager with 3 kids, a dog and a husband and we all love the outdoors. My motto is to 'make memories and make enough of an effort for it to be burned into your brain'. That stretches time for me. Plus, for therapy, I love cooking. It's becoming a bit of a thingy, but this house is good for (what's the scottish word for hygge? I think it's 'coorie-in' time!) when you get the fire on, the heaters on, the blankets round you and the blether is in full swing. The best nights we've had are with the telly off, the gadgets off and we just chat, make a meal, listen to music and relax. There's plenty of restaurants around but we end up eating in a lot. My other motto is "keep it simple". Life is too complicated these days!
