À propos de ce logement
This is a fully equipped log duplex on a dead end road. The neighborhood is a small oasis of woods and quiet on a bit of land surrounded by the Beluga Slough on one side and Kachemak Bay on the other. It has a full kitchen and bath, comfortable queen size bed, washer/dryer, cable TV and high speed internet. You can walk down to the slough to go birding or use one of our bikes to ride to town or the spit.
This is a log home on a small wooded peninsula of land between the slough and Kachemak Bay- right in the heart of Homer. You can use my two bikes to ride to the beach or ride to the end of the Spit or into town!
At low tide you can walk across to Old Town or the Kachemak Wildlife Reserve.
Full kitchen with electric range and full size fridge. The kitchen is equiped with pots and pans and we have an outside gas grill which you are welcome to use.
The living room has two picture windows looking out on some large spruce trees. Bald eagles nest and the Beluga Slough make for great birding.
A spiral staircase leads to the loft/bedroom which has a very comfortable Queen size silverpedic mattress and we have high speed wireless internet.
The bathroom has a full size tub and there is also a washer and dryer.
The home is on a dead end road so it is very quiet with lots of birds. I've lived in Homer since 1986 and can suggest many lovely hikes or other activities.

I've lived in Homer for almost 30 years and can make suggestions of where to go and what to do, but I also respect your privacy. This summer I'll be traveling myself but my husband will be on hand to answer questions....or he might invite you to play pickle ball!
Please DO NOT SMOKE in or around the house.
Before leaving, please put all garbage in outside bin provided.
Also, please clean up after cooking. Be aware that the stove stays hot a long time and you must never place anything except pans on the stove top.
This is a duplex and therefore please be respectful of the tenants on the other side and don't play loud music or plan large gatherings.

I am 65 years young and enjoy both the country and city and hope to continue experiencing new things and creating meaningful relationships. I love the beach and have been thrilled to find this small home from which I walk to the beach almost every day. I got married 2 years ago and stopped hosting for a while. Soon, we will both be retired and are looking forward to spending more time traveling.
We have adult children children living in Boston, Vermont and Chicago, Colorado and Alaska. My hope is to live Spring and Fall in New England, summer and winter in Alaska, with a month or two traveling every year. I have lived in Homer since 1986 and look forward to introducing folks to this great town! I will be in Boston this summer and Paul will be hosting.
He has his own profile: Paul Knight. He is mellow and his latest passion is Pickle Ball!
