The flat is in a brilliant location. Despite its proximity to a major road, it is very quiet. Beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. Ruth is easy to contact and very responsive. We had a great stay.

Thank you for staying and your review. I take on your comments about providing instructions for the washer/dryer - they should have been in the tall cupboard in the living room. I never think to point them out as I found the machine quite easy to work out from the symbols not thinking different continents have different symbols and syntax. Sorry about that. I totally understand most people would like WiFi but it's an expensive service for which we have to enrol in a 12 month contract but laws prohibit short term lets for longer than 3 months. With long term tenants going in this month who have different needs for broadband and the choice of their own supplier and tariffs, it is impossible for us to supply it. The pricing for the flat takes this into account. I'm glad you had a good stay otherwise and hope you had a safe journey home.

Ruth was very friendly and the location is very close to Kings cross which most train/underground lines connect through. It is across from a school and the walls are thin so you can hear any noise from the street. The dryer doesn't work very effectively so plan for extra time dry…

I am more than a little surprised that you would rate the description accuracy low because you failed to read it properly? Most other guests have asked before arrival about WiFi and made arrangements to get mobile data roaming or will use the public services I told you about. As for lack of amenity and being "basic" I can't help but disagree. You had free use of the apartment with the open courtyard space and the roof terrace; full sized two double beds in large rooms with wardrobes, chests of drawers, bed side tables and desks; the shower room with constant hot water, shower gel, toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo and hand wash; there were plenty of towels, clean linen on beds with plenty of duvets and pillows; haidryer. In addition to the sleeping accommodation there is a living room with sofa and dining table (which seats 4-6) with a TV and a fully equipped kitchen with full sized fridge, a full sized freezer, oven, hob, microwave oven, kettle and the washer/dryer which if you load it correctly works perfectly well. Yes, drying time is more than a standard vented tumble dryer because it is a combined machine. In addition you had heating and hot water within your control. And finally, I even leave tea, coffee, sugar and milk for my guests to use until they buy their own provisions. As for noise, well, having lived and worked in London most of my life I know there is a compromise between being really central and the noise of living in one of the busiest cities in Europe. However, this apartment which is so close to the main Euston Road which is the busiest road going through the very centre of London from the East to the West, and really close to the mainline and tube stations of Kings Cross and St. Pancras, not to mention the International Eurostar terminal, is REALLY quiet and protected from noise. There is a school at the rear of the apartment and there will be some noise week days at around 9am as the kids go in, at break and lunch time and around 3pm when they go home. This is normal it's definitely not a bad or constant noise. The walls are not thin at all but the windows are traditional sash windows which are not double glazed. In regard to the value feedback you considered this to be a lot of money and a basic home with basic amenities I can advise you that one of the cheapest hotel groups with a low star very close to Euston Station charge £96 per night per double room. Not only would you not have any amenities except a bathroom,bed, two towels and a kettle with two sachets of coffee, two teabags and some sugar sachets. I had to stay there one night and I didn't sleep because of the noise of the traffic and the trains - they really did have thin walls. Not to mention it was too hot and I couldn't open the window or turn the heating down. Finally, I also messaged you after a couple of days of your stay asking if everything was okay and you didn't respond. So if you had any problems I could have helped you with, you didn't give me the opportunity to rectify them. So, while I always appreciate feedback, I do think you have provided unfair and low ratings when they are not actually accurate.
