There was a great amount of confusion finding the hotel, since both ends of the road appeared to be closed. Carlo made his best attempts by phone to help us find his place, although it still took 3 1/2 hours. Upon arrival he offered us a cup of coffee. The walls of the hotels are paper thin. We could hear our neighbors talking clearly until midnight. The breakfast was all right, although there were not many options besides bread and a few toppings. There were also pre-packaged croissants and containers of yogurt. The staff waited until all of the toppings were completely empty off of the buffet trays before refilling them. Even then it took about 10 minutes for new food to appear. There was nothing unique. It was an expectation that we would order dinner during our breakfast. The menu for dinner was left at our table with a pen in order for us to mark what we wanted to eat. Although the food was very good, it was not very abundant. I was quite surprised when I checked out to see that the tap water I requested with my evening meal had been added to the total bill. It seemed as though the family running the hotel wanted to profit from every opportunity possible.

Carlo was very communicative and always ready to help us with anything we needed -- like describing and translating all those delicious meals we had in his restaurant, or giving trip possibilities. We liked very much not only products of his B&B kitchen, but also the cleanliness of our room, bigger shower, atmosphere of the bar with an outlook on Mt Civetta, soft beds, and family-like approach of all people there. Both me and my wife would like to come to Digonera and Dolomites again -- especially we would like to stay in the "castle-style" room on the first picture. (This time, there unfortunately happened some accident closely before our arrival, but Carlo explained us everything and gave us the "blue" room of the same standard.) We look forward to seeing you again, Carlo :-)...
