What a SHOCKING review. The apartment was thoroughly cleaned before Taryn moved in. The cleaning woman spent 3+ hours in the apartment. It is a laughable exaggeration that one would get dirty feet dirty walking in there. Tho I did notice when inspecting after the service cleaned when Taryn left that the carpet in ONE of the rooms "might" be up for shampoo - but it is nothing like the Taryn's demeaning description.
I hardly recall seeing Taryn - a nurse - after they arrived. When I saw her husband in passing and asked how were "things were going" and I "hope everything is okay in the apt", he'd wave and smile - so I thought all was fine. If Taryn found the place such a gawd awful "slum" - she could have spoken to me - because I would have immediately released her from the contract. Tho another place around here would likely be more expensive.
This area - is extremely popular. This apartment is beautiful, with stained glass windows. The windows DO open - Taryn could have asked if she was unable to open a window. I would have opened the window! Taryn didn't complain about the good price she go (Website hidden by Airbnb) can easily rent the apartment - unfurnished - long term without wifi or power or parking for the same as I bring in with AIR.
Taryn even griped about hearing the BART. Ah, this is a CITY. If I strain I might hear the BART! When inquiring, Taryn made no mention of being bothered by noise. . Why didn't she simply speak up if the faint BART sound was bothersome. I would have released her immediately. I don't want people like her around here. I rent short term -> because they leave.
And the pigeons!!!! THAT was a JOKE!! Yes, once a pigeon flew in the bathroom window, which I discovered when I found a feather on the floor and wondered "WTF?!" I told Taryn and her husband about it - and thought for SURE they realized it was a joke. But Taryn turned it into yet another gripe - to pile it on. It is discouraging to have my beautiful apartment rendered such a deplorable dump! I just as soon let it sit empty, then to have to absorb this sort of exaggerated nasty review - esp when I had EVERY REASON to think Taryn was happy in the apartment. Smile in my face; then stab me in the back. -Ann
