The studio is a 2-minute walk to the QV shopping centre , Tram & Train stations.
Amazing restaurants and cafes are just minutes away. You are just one click away to booking a lovely studio apartment with Rooftop Pool and 360 degree stunning view around Melbourne CBD.
Long stays are welcome.
You're located in the very heart of Melbourne, so the finest restaurants, museums and theaters are all only a few minutes walk away.
This studio apartment is self contained and all my guests feel right at home as soon as they close the door.
Wireless Internet is included free of charge.
I also have 2 other apartments next door to this one, if you're looking for other options:
This modest sized Studio is located on the 11th floor of the Lonsdale Heights Apartment building, which occupies the same space as the Hotel Grand Chancellor which was built in 1970.
It's fully furnished with bedding and furniture. Includes 42" LCD TV/Bluray which has USB/HDMI inputs.
Separate Bathroom also includes washer/dryer/toilet/shower and sink.
Kitchenette includes Hot Plate, Microwave, Toaster and full size Fridge. It's not a large kitchen, just a bench on which to do basic cooking.
Building security is excellent, with two security access doors downstairs and double locks on the studio itself.
Located in the heart of Melbourne with virtually everything at your fingertips.
Chinatown is a 30 second walk behind the building.
Countless restaurants are within a 5 minute walking distance, as are numerous Theatres and Cinemas.
All forms of public transport are within a 1 minute walk from the Studio and the SkyBus (which takes you directly to/from the Airport) stops right in front.
Just down Lonsdale Street (if you turn left and walk down a hundred metres) you'll find the QV Building which contains BIG W, Woolworths and Harvey Norman (for all your food/clothing/electronics items), as well as 120 other shops. It's basically a shopping mall in a building. You will find everything you need there, food, clothing, technology etc.
There's dine-in restaurants, as well as numerous take-away places. Make sure you spend some time checking out QV.
Heated Rooftop pool, located on the 17th floor with spectacular 360* views of the city and our amazing buildings, the Dandenong Ranges and an ocean view (yes, it's barely visible between 2 skyscrapers - but it's still a view!!)
There's a Microwave, Convection Hotplate (a Hob), Fridge, Toaster and Kettle in the kitchenette.
Full range of cutlery and cooking utensils.
Complete Washing Machine & Dryer in the bathroom.
Iron & Ironing board, vacuum cleaner.
Plenty of spare sheets, face-washers and towels.
There's also a 42" LED TV with 2 Bluray players as well as USB/HDMI inputs.
There is car parking available in the building. Refer to the commercial car park operator in the basement.
Alternatively, there is car parking available at Wilson Car Park across the road, next to the church.
There's storage space for your bicycle/bike on the 2nd level of the CarPark in the building (this needs to be pre-arranged).
I try and respond within the hour to all messages I get.
I, or my co-host Sharyn, always greet guests at my studio and give a full tour of the building, the studio apartment itself, the heated pool on the roof and all the fire exits, extinguishers etc.
I welcome communication and feedback.
You can contact me via Airbnb, phone or email.
All forms of public transport are at your finger tips.
There's a bus stop right out front.
All major trams are within a few minutes walk.
Parliament train station is a 4 minute walk.
Flinders Street Station is about 10 minutes walk.
If you're coming from the airport you can catch a Skybus to Southern Cross Train Station, and from there you transfer onto the SkyBus Hotel Shuttle - tell the driver you need to get off at Grand Chancellor Hotel.
Taxis are always around, you can just walk to the street and hail one.
If you're interested in sight seeing, there's a RedBus that does a tour of Melbourne CBD that departs from the church at Flinders Street Station.
For day tours/trips (Great Ocean Road, Phillip Island, etc) head to Swanston St (Between Lonsdale and Bourke Street) and you'll find plenty of places to book.

I respect your privacy so will never bother you during your stay unless you contact me.
The apartment is for two people only (extra guests by negotiation only).
Guests are responsible for any damage to the apartment which may exceed the bond. This includes losing the keys.
Its important not to cause disturbance to my lovely neighbors. So no loud noise late at night whilst residents are trying to sleep. :-)
When you check out - please place used linen and towels on the bathroom floor or on top of the washing machine, and please leave the apartment as you found it when checking in.
Please remember to turn off the TV + Heater when you are not there.
Mistakes happen, so don't panic if something breaks! But please do let me know ASAP so I can fix it.

I want your stay to be excellent, and I also want my next guests to have the same wonderful experience.
I supply all the linen and towels. I'll wash them all after you check out. If you need extra items, please contact me and I'll arrange them for you ASAP.

Hi I'm John von Ahlen. I work as a registered Nurse (Night Shifts!) at a major Hospital on the weekends.
During the week I work in my recording studio and am busy writing and producing music, as well as remixing and producing other artists. I also direct videoclips.
If you're interested then do a search for "Parralox" and "The Sound Of The Crowd".
As such, I usually travel overseas at least 3 times a year. Travel is one of the best things in the world (long haul flights, not so much!)
I also dabble in property investment and my current property portfolio is 5 properties so far. You'll find some of them listed here on AirBNB from time to time!
I'm a MAJOR Science Fiction fan. Favourite authors are Larry Niven, Arthur C Clarke and Frank Herbert. Favourite directors are David Lynch & Stanley Kubrick.
I'm very passionate about Animal Rights. Animal cruelty is my biggest hate. I donate monthly to The Lost Dogs Home.
I have a dog called Jack that I treat like absolute gold.
With so much suffering on this planet I figure that if I can give one animal a perfect life then I'm doing something good.
