We know it is hard enough to pack for travel as a family, so for those with young children, ask about our pack n play, highchair and other infant accessories available upon request. We offer seasonal specials, including local artisan chocolate platters by Marzek Chocolatier, painted pumpkins, and local coffee by Simpatico. During your stay, please browse our Holland Visitor guide and area maps showcasing the areas' best, as reviewed by longtime Holland residents. We will work with you to customize your stay to your individual needs. We invite you to join our family of delighted Cobblestone Cottage guests!
About the owners: Lifelong Holland residents and high school sweethearts have owned this home together since their marriage in 2002. The home was lovingly (well, mostly lovingly) renovated by this engineer and artist, and welcomed each of their six children in the years to follow! So full of memories and craftsmanship, the home was deemed too precious to sell. When the family moved nearby for the necessary extra bedrooms (and bathroom) (ok, and Lake Michigan views), the Cobblestone Cottage vacation rental was born! The home is surrounded by neighbors known and loved by the family, and your rental allows the family to still roam the streets of their nostalgic first home. Thank you!

I'm an easily recongnizable figure around town- just look for the tall, curly haired woman with 6 kids in tow! I am a lifelong Holland resident, former elementary school teacher, amatuer artist and homeschooling mother of 6. I like to spend my time at the beach, especially hiking through the wondrous dune system on our Lakeshore.
Travel is a little complicated these days with the whole family, so we prefer to make adventures in our hometown and live like we are on vacation! We also camp, go to music festivals, and sometimes Ambrose and I make it out to our honeymoon house in Arizona. Having found airbnb now, I am developing quite the wish list - so much easier to travel with a nice house to use as a family launching pad!
Food is another passion- I love sweets but try to focus on healthy family eating. We mill our own flour, and try to buy local and organic. My family grows pumpkins and has been painting and selling them at our local Farmer's market since I was a child. My own kids are taking on the family business now, too!
I used to teach 5th grade and am an elementary education graduate from St. Mary's College. I now spend most of my time homeschooling, and painting and
working for Holland Theatre and Forensics departments as well as crafting custom Dutch creations for Nelis Imports here in town.
