To be fair, let's start with the good part. the place is well located and it is very pretty as the pictures show, open and the temperature was perfect this time of the year, it was fresh there all day long. It has almost everything you need for cooking and eating home if you don't want to spend so much eating out. Evans was helpful in giving us guidance on the places to go, and very nice offering us fruits, tea and a delicius local meal he prepared.
On arrival at immigration, make sure to get Evans full name, and his phone number, we were not giving that, the owner said they know him, but they didn't. Immigration is not yet used to Airbnb. They could not find the name of the place that was in the airbnb voucher in the list of authorized acommodations for the Tourism board and held out our passports. Since I didn't have his phone I had to make a long distance call to Switzerland for the officer to talk to the owner from my cell phone, which didn't help at all. Once the bags arrived, my husband had to stay in, while I went with the officer outside to look for Evans, when we found him, he explained and they let us out.
Since it is very open coackroaches came in almost every night, usually when I had to get up in the middle of the night I would run into one, which for me, was a little disturbing, but not a big deal, it happens.
The place is in the most built up part of the island after Victoria, so there is noise sometimes, during the weekend we were awaken by loud music 2 or 3 days that lasted for a while, but I am a light sleeper.
The worst part for us is that the place offered wifi in the add, but they didn't have anymore, apparentely for a while already. So for us who needed to be connected, this cause some trouble. First when requested, the owner was very argumentative and did not help. We bought our owns SIM cards and topped up every 2 days. Ended up spending much more than expecting and still using the computer was not an option. Only cell phone. And it was impossible to find wifi in the island unless you stay in a hotel. So, if you need internet during your stay, this is not a place to be.
