À propos de ce logement
Situated in Bazley, a quiet and tranquil cove for lazy days on the beach, this “old style” beach cottage is the ideal getaway for those who want to escape the pace of modern life with spectacular views of the sea from the sundeck and bedrooms
Our cottage is a refuge from the outside world. As such, there is no internet and little cell coverage, with emphasis placed on days at the beach and sea views from the deck.
We have kept it this way because of the rich history that surrounds it. The town is named after our family as recognition to the contributions they made to the development of the area after immigrating to South Africa in 1850, building roads, railways and harbours. This history is well documented in a book written by Denzil Bazley in 2000, a copy of which can be found at the cottage.
Subsequently, the cottage was one of the first built in the area. It naturally is rustic, with a corrugated roof, no ceiling and old finishings. While we are in the process of making the place more comfortable, this rustic element is one that we embrace. We hope you do to!

Bazley is a small, sleepy coastal town 80kms South of Durban, which has been forgotten about in the development of the South Coast. We are forever grateful for this!
It is a quite place where more often than not you will have the entire beach to yourself, with the air scented with molasses from the sugar (email hidden)ere is a small shop and bottle store at the MacNicols Caravan park (2kms) with more to be found in Scottburgh (20kms).
While Bazley has historically had the lowest incidents of break-ins in the area, one must still exercise the same due caution as one would anywhere.
Unfortunately there is no public transport. One will have to rely on a car.
We have recently added an old TV to the place with a DSTV subscription for our guests that cannot bear to miss the rugby! It is a Premium package so news channels, movies, children's programmes and documentaries are available to view
The place is intended for holidays and relaxation ... try not break too many glasses!
