I have been a volunteer tour guide since 5 years ago.
I would love to help you plan you travel throughout Japan, so you can make the best out of your time here! I can send you some example guides and depending on if you are using a JR Pass or not I will do my best to make similar ones depending on where you want to go.
Please feel free to ask me.
Let me introduce to you some fun activities.
The guide service is free so let me introduce you to some fun activities! Please contact me for availability.

~Shinjuku~
There are quite some famous department stores (Isetan/ Takashimaya/ LUMINE/ Marui/ Shinjuku Southern Terrace) where you can go shopping.
There is also Shinjuku Gyoen and Hanazono Shrine where you can experience the nature in the center of the city. If you want to go for a night out, there is Kabukicho where you will see a lot of Izakaya’s (Typical Japanese “restaurants”) stores and host clubs. There is Robot restaurant which is very popular.

~Shibuya~
For shopping, there is SHIBUYA109 (men and women dept are in separate buildings), a big shiny mall with over 100 boutiques that all show the latest looks in disposable fashion. There’s also Shibuya Hikarie for an older and more refined consumer. Shibuya crossing is famous intersection outside Shibuya Station. If you want to experience nature and exercise a bit Yoyogi park is within 10min walking distance!

~Omotesando/ Harajuku~
Omotesando Hills is famous for shopping in the Omotesando area.
Takeshita street is always crowded with brewing with young people.
Meiji Shrine is one of Japan's most popular shrines. This shrine was completed and dedicated to the Emperor Meiji.

Asakusa
Asakusa's image is different from the big office building image that most people have of Tokyo.
It has a more historical feeling to it as you can for example find Sensoji Temple there. To get to Sensoji Temple you will first have to pass through the famous Kaminari Gate and walk passed the little stalls on Namise Street. This is probably one of the hottest sightseeing places in Tokyo.
On Nakamise street, there are all kinds of stalls from souvenir stalls to food stalls.
Asakusa is also famous for its Monjya. Asakusa offers all kinds of small restaurants and cafe's so it's not only for sightseeing!

Tokyo Sky tree
In May 2012 Tokyo finished building a 634m high radio tower called the Tokyo Sky tree. It has become a popular tourist attraction as you're allowed to go in side and go all the way up to 450m where you can enjoy a fantastic view of Tokyo.
On the first observatory 340m-350m there are some restaurants, cafe's and even a hotel. Here you can enjoy the scenery while having some drinks or food.
The second observatory located 445m-450m high you can check out the whole of Tokyo as never shown before.
On the ground floor there's a big mall with around 312 stores, restuarants and features an aquarium and planetarium.
