2 Bedroom Condo, about 1100 square feet, on a high floor, in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The two large bedrooms (one with double bed and en-suite washroom, one with single bed and full washroom just outside the room) are on opposite sides of the apartment, divided by a large living room. Or maybe I'll call it a great room! From this great room, where furniture exists to sit on and dine on, a large enclosed balcony perches over the street and has a view. Or commands a view, let's say. Here also you can sit or dine on the table that converts from a side table to a romantic dining spot. Eat breakfast or your evening meals here (though there's also a formal dining room table inside). Candles are nice. When romance wanes, watch TV on the flat screen. Netflix may console you. Bookcases and books hug many walls, a kind of museum to what once mattered before you began staring into your screen.

The building has a a gym, a pool, a roof deck, and even a common barbeque. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and other amenities available in the suite.

This is the heart of Vancouver, kitty-corner to Shangri-La Hotel (rooms $400 minimum a night), down the block from Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Great restaurants (Coast, Black & Blue, Italian Kitchen) just below or across the street. Restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, nightlife surround us. Eat sushi forever! One block to Robson Street (main shopping street), Vancouver Art Gallery, and Robson Square (outdoor gathering spot). Granville Street and serious nightlife (bars and nightclubs) three blocks away. 5 Blocks to Canada Place, the Convention Centre (or even Center, as some spell it), and the Seawall, with extraordinary views of North Shore Mountains (the stuff you see in all the postcards) that winds around to Stanley Park. English Bay and the Beach is 8-9 Blocks away. Yaletown, Gastown, and other "towns" (or neighborhoods in the unhyped language of everyday) well-known to readers of Tourist Guides are all in easy walking distance. Ferry to the North Shore is 10 minutes walk away. Vancouver's two subway lines both have station stops two minutes from the apartment. You can also walk to a tiny ferry which will take you to Granville Island in about 3 minutes. Beaches and mountains, swimming and skiing, all very close.

f you want to visit Vancouver because you read or heard something about it, or if you need to stay in Vancouver for a convention or business, whatever you read or heard or need is all available outside the door.

In the centre of downtown Vancouver, with restaurants, bars, nightlife (and day life!) immediately outside the door. Mountains are there to look at, the seawall is there to walk on, the water encircles the spot.

One block to one subway line (Skytrain), two blocks to other line (Canada Line). Easy walking distance to Stanley Park, Granville Island, all central Vancouver venues.
