Description

This fully furnished, secure one bedroom first floor apartment brings a new type of living to this part of the city after the earthquakes. Built in 2012, this apartment is an ideal pad for visitors looking for something tidy, stylish and central.

Clean and convenient in both size and location to CBD and CHC Surrounds

Can also help with restaurant recommendations /bookings

20 min walk to city and restart mall
15 min walk to Eastgate mall
Shops near just on Stanmore road (local dairy, small supermarket, iconic kiwi fish n chips etc)
5 min walk to Under the red Veranda cafe
10 min walk to Lumes cafe

If you walk right on cashel street - you're heading towards the city / restart mall, if you head left - in 15 min or so you will be at Eastgate mall. There are also a few great Cafes on Fitzgerald Ave - LUMES would be my pick of the bunch, Pomeroys Pub a little further up is also good! "Under the red veranda" is just a block up from the house which serves great cafe fare.

Stranges Lane, Dux Central and any the bars along StAsaph Street or head to Victoria Street for other great eateries.

No doubt you have looked up all the tourist things to do/see - for a local insight, head to (neatplaces dot co dot nz) or (webuiltthiscity dot co dot nz) for some up to date listings!

Airport to the CBD is approx 12km / $45 in taxi (Uber is now available in ChCh and I always recommend using them as nz taxi fares have some of the highest rates in the world

Super shuttle $24 per person, $5 for any extra person thereafter

Bus - the 'purple line' or number '29', arrives at the cities new central bus exchange / $8 one way $14 return ($5/8.50 for kids)

For general transport around the city - the bus routes are usually the best, the bus exchange which is the hub for all the main lines is located in the CBD - the stop closest to the apartment is on the line called the "#80 Lincoln/Parklands" and is situated at the corner of Tuam and Stanmore/Nursery roads which is a 300m walk.

CHC has plenty to see & do:

It's the largest city in the South Island and the gateway to the South Island for travellers!

A natural beauty with sites like the Port Hills, Avon River, Hagley Park, Botanic Gardens & The banks peninsula region not to be missed

An hour to the mountains and 20 mins to be beach!

We have a post earthquake vibrant hospitality and arts sector - happy to make recommendations

Lots of creative transitional facilities and art installations to check out!
