### Neighbourhood ### → Also look at our Map and guidebook!
This place is literally around the corner of the business and commercial center, building’s neighbourhood is superconvenient to be as a tourist/student because of its centrality you really get as much out of you time in tokyo as you do not have to commute to the center every day. In the same block of this guesthouse, there are many cheap restaurants, fast food shops, 3 big supermarkets, 3 convenience stores (7/11 , lawson and family mart) and 2 huge famous department stores on just 5 minutes walk (Don Quihote and Isetan).
Shin-Okubo Korean town is also nearby, at just 6min walk you can find the entrance, the place in tokyo for everything exclusively Korean: food, K-pop, cloth stores, cosmetics and many other things by Korean people.

Lawson: 1 minute walk
7/11 : 1min walk
Family Mart: 1 minute walk
Mac Donalds : 1 minute walk
Bento shop: 1 minute walk next to Mac Donalds,
Bank: 1 minute walk (Mizuho and UFJ ATM) and city bank is 8 min walk

### Shopping ### → Also look at our Map!
Isetan :
from brand shop to Uniqlo, MUJI, etc)
Marui :
from teenage fasion to classical and traditional style
Shinjuku 3 chome shopping area :
Many chain and brand stores
DON QUIXOTE :
One of the most cheap shopping store it has everything from tooth brash to bed. Feel mixture shopping in Japan!

### Eating and Drinking ###
Kabukichou: 2000 bars/eateries on 1 square kilometer : just 5 minutes walk from the premise. Nightlife entertainment district . If you do not want to spend money , better do not enter hostess bars but look for for example Alps (cheap Izakaya) or bar “Champion” in front of Golden Gai.
Golden Gai: small streets with small bars, up to 6 or 7 people can enter per bar . Tradional Japan pre-war style of drinking.

### Other ###
Motor bike, bicycle parking rental
This is expensive in tokyo. For motor bikes parking is as difficult to find as for cars, and for bicycles you need to know the city and paid parking is the only permitted parking for bicycles. If you just put your bicycle somewhere it will be taken away by the city and you have to pay 5000 yen if you wish to pick up your bicycle. We recommend to use the convenient train system. Make sure to come home on time (japanese style with or before the last train around 1-ish) !

L'entrée dans les lieux se fait à partir de 16:00

This is our home, and you are our precious guests. We just ask that you follow some rules that are common in Japan:
☆ Take off your shoes at the entrance door of our house. This is a big deal in this country. Please clean the tire of your suitcase.
☆ No smoking inside the building or on the road in the center of Tokyo. If you smoke, It is a good solution that you look for a 「smoking place」.
☆Inviting your friends, please ask us. We like to know who is staying in our home.
☆Turn off the switch of air-conditioner and heater when you go out. Japanese like eco.

It was difficult not knowing the address before I got there. Customs was not happy that I didn't know where I was staying so I gave them the address of the hotel my friends were staying at. I did not meet Huis, but his texts were friendly enough and the intermediary he sent to guide me to the apartment was nice as well. The neighborhood seemed bad at first, but it's Shinjuku. It turned out to be a pretty quiet stay. The room, of coarse, is tiny by American standards... but I am a big guy so normal sized Americans will find it just a little small. It had exactly what you needed to stay in Japan for as long as needed. A bed, a sink, a microwave and mini fridge, a shower and western toilet, a table, a closet, and a balcony. Don't expect some spectacular view out the window though. But the price was brilliant, and it is not even 2 minutes walk from several convenience stores. It is about 5 minutes to Shinjuku San Chome station, and about a 20 minute walk to Shinjuku station itself. There are ramen places around, but you'll probably want to go a bit further to find better places to eat. All in all I am satisfied with my visit.

So, the host flat out told me that this was just a "crash pad" up front. What he didn't mention, and what was not readily available on the page, were the house rules. He mentioned some of them, but when we got to the room, after we paid of course, there was a binder with many new rules. These rules require you to spend money to do the host's job of cleaning the bedding. This information was of course not given until after the reservation was made, and the fee paid. The place was massively overpriced. You can get a room at the nearby Best Western hotel for 20$ us more a night, and you will get a bigger room, with astronomically better facilities, and not be expected to do the housekeeping. 100 %, not worth it. Go elsewhere in my opinion.

House rules are clearly written on airbnb , and laundry machine (only extra fee which is not obligated) is just 200 yen per session .

The host provided clear directions for us to get to the place... and besides the place being cheap, that's probably the only two things that were good about this place. The host will probably reply in good will that I can't find a cheaper accommodation offering the price I paid for, but honestly, this is the worst airbnb experience that I've had so far. The room was crammed, consisting only of one double deck bed, a single bed, a clothes rack and a table. It was REALLY DUSTY and apparently when we read that we had to wash our own sheets and pillow case before we leave, we immediately spent our time 1 day efore we leave to wash the sheets as we know we wont have time to do it on the morning we leave. And it seems, the gang who got our room previously didn't wash their sheets, so we had hair all over the room and on our beds. It also did not help that our sheets and blanket seemed to be dirty. We were staying on the fourth floor and the toilet was on the fifth floor. So imagine going out in the cold, rushing upstairs for 3 pathetic toilets then finding out that they were all occupied and you have to return to your room and wait for the occupants to be done with their bath? Major delay in your travel. Not only that, the host told all the occupants to clean their own hair after use but obviously nobody does it. The hot bath is hard to control, the toilet is dirty and it stinks. Okay, maybe the place isn't that bad after all because I remembered that it's 5 mins walk from Higashi Shinjuku station... But unless you are really budget travellers looking for a cheap place to stay, this is NOT the place for you. All my other previous airbnb hosts dropped DAILY messages inquiring about our stay, provided tips on where to go and such, yea... We got that too in the form of a booklet that is not really helpful and besides CLEAR directions to get here, the host never bothered to make this a pleasant experience for us.. ARE YOU READY FOR THE MOST SCARY PART? YES. WIFI. The wifi has a cap limit and every night, we had to wait till when everyone decided to off their wifi on their electronic devices in order for us to get connected to our family and friends. All in all, never again. And the host can go ahead and write all the rebuttals to all my experiences, but I TRULY EXPERIENCED this place and it was HORRIBLE.

*There is a toilet on the 4th floor as well * People who do not have time to wash the sheets is not a problem since we check every room when check out and prepare for the next people so you (like everyone) were provided clean sheets. It is just that these sheets are not new so can look "used" and wifi is set up not to call on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) for a long time since it disturbs other people but we offer a private wifi device for a bit of extra charge that you can take out of the room with you all day.*. if anything just contact us we are standby , and would rather have helped you out on the spot then to hear these things first time in a review.

We like travelling and our team has been to many countries including the US, America, Australia, Netherlands, Belgium , Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, Germany and Spain to enjoy culture, sightseeing ,food, festivals and interaction with local people .
We want to offer a hostel-type accomodation for backpackers visiting Tokyo.
Our Hostel is in the middle of Tokyo, in the middle of exciting SHINJUKU.
Besides that , we have also some private flats , in Shinjuku, as well as some guesthouses a few trainstops aways from shinjuku, for those who wish to experience a more local tokyo experience.

We would like to help people stay in Tokyo and help having a great experience here!!!
