Located in downtown Friday Harbor, this historic 1920s cottage has been in our family for four generations. The two-bedroom home has been lovingly maintained, boasts tons of original character, and is a three-minute walk from the ferry landing.
The 990 sq ft cottage includes two queen bedrooms, an updated kitchen and bathroom, cheerfully appointed living and dining areas, a mudroom/entryway and full laundry. While the home has been renovated with modern finishes and conveniences, its cottage character is retained in period features such as the original staircase and latch windows.
The cottage is a family-friendly retreat. Please let us know if you would like a highchair and pressure-mountable baby gate in the house during your stay.
This main level bedroom is located off the living area and features a queen bed, small desk area, dresser and full-size closet.
The larger of the two bedrooms, this loft-style bedroom encompasses the second floor of the cottage and includes a queen bed, a picture window overlooking downtown Friday Harbor, a desk area, reading chair, wardrobe and linen closet.
Living and Dining:
The open plan living and dining space is great for relaxing and dining during your time at the cottage. The 4-seater dining table expands to seat up to 8 guests. The room is appointed with a large TV (cable included), sofa and armchair. A dedicated wifi network is available throughout the home.
The renovated kitchen includes stainless steel oven and microwave, a coffee machine and French press, dishwasher, refrigerator, and toaster. The kitchen has been fully stocked for dining and entertaining, and includes a full set of dishes, cutlery, stemware, cookware, serving dishes, baking utensils and basic supplies.
The recently updated bathroom is located on the main floor, and includes a bathtub, shower, vanity and linen closet.
Mudroom and Laundry:
The side entry to the cottage features an entryway with storage for your coats and shoes. A full-size washer and dryer are located inside the house .
Back Deck and Gardens:
The large, fully enclosed back deck and gardens provide a perfect space for gathering and enjoying beautiful island afternoons. The deck has seating for up to 8 people and a full size BBQ.
The surrounding yard is dotted with apple trees, a fig tree, and a cherry tree that have been enjoyed by family members over the years.
Off-street parking for up to four cars is available in the driveway.

Guests have access to the entire home, as well as the surrounding gardens, enclosed back deck, and driveway. A detached garage structure behind the cottage is not available for use.

Due to zoning restrictions, we are only able to rent the property once every 30 days. Priority will be given to bookings of 5 days or longer.
As the cottage is located in a prime downtown location, we ask that guests please be considerate of the adjacent businesses and the International School, which borders the property.
Due to the age of the home, we also ask that guests please be respectful in their use of the cottage and adhere to the guidelines set out in our Guest Book.
Please note that pets and smoking are not allowed on the property.
