Description

Camp in the city on lush permaculture farm. We have animals, organic gardens, and lots of trees. Stay in large "boy-scout" tent on wooden frame; two single beds with mattresses! Supply your bedding or rent from us. Outdoor kitchen, bathrooms too!

Our beautiful farm, located in Little Haiti, has treehouses, animals, and gardens! We are close to the airport, south beach, wynwood and downtown. The tent has electricity, lights and a fan. You can bring your own bedding or rent from us for $15. Close by the tent is the treehouse kitchen, where you can cook your meals on stove. There are shared bathrooms and hot showers (one now with lights for night-time!).
There are several sitting areas near the tent as well as a hammock to take a nap in. Enjoy the convenience of being in the city and the simplicity of quiet and comfortable camping! Please check in by 8:00 p.m. on your arrival date.

You can enjoy other parts of the farm while you're here. Volleyball on Sunday afternoons is a lot of fun! Hammocks to rest on.
We have laundry facilities and wifi access on the farm too. Parking is free on the street outside the farm.

My husband Ray and I are around the farm much of the time. We live here too! So if you have any questions, we'll be available for you.

Our farm is located in a low-income residential area of Little Haiti. There are restaurants, grocery stores, buses within 5-15 minutes walking distance.

Best way here from the airport (if you don't rent a car) is by taxi. Public buses run close by the farm, but transport from the airport takes a long time.
We provide rides to the airport for a modest fee.

The tent does not lock, so you will need to keep important belongings with you when you leave. Please check in no later than 8:00 p.m. on your arrival date.

I moved to the farm in November, 2012, just before Ray and I celebrated our wedding in a big farm bash. Living here is delightful, waking to the sounds of roosters and turkeys. I give farm tours and nature classes at the farm and am enjoying being an airbnb host. I like joyful times shared with my family and community, including potluck vegan dinners, volleyball, lively conversations.
As a traveler I've always preferred to stay among the local people rather than in a touristy hotel. So here at the farm, I try to give guests a feeling of inclusion and an opportunity to add their own special qualities and talents to our community.
