We love our apartment because we feel very much at home here. The place is light, spacious, beautiful and personal. All our furniture and personal belongings are mixed together in the three rooms, which gives the apartment a charm on its own as well as the feeling that somebody spends a lot of their time here. We love music, films, food and design - therefore you will find a piano and fantastic music and dvd collection; a well-equipped kitchen, and a range of Danish furniture design classics.

Le logement

We offer our whole and very light 3-room apartment in the heart of Copenhagen. The place is 92m2, and includes kitchen and a big bath room with everything you need.

From the living room window you can watch the water front of Copenhagen, and the apartment is located only a few steps away from Nyhavn and Kongens Nytorv, which is the core of the old city. Even though a lot of the biggest attractions of the city are within the reach of 1 km, the neighborhood in which the apartment is located is quite silent and very charming. You will meet Danish actors buying milk and cigarettes in the kiosk downstairs, or drinking their coffee on Holberg 19 or at Le Voyager, or you will hear the opera singers practicing their vibrato when passing under the ceiling of the Royal Grand Theatre, just around the corner.

The apartment contains three rooms, new well-equipped kitchen as well as a newly renovated bath/toilet with washing machine and tumble dryer. Two of the rooms are connected with french doors. These constitute the dining room and one bedroom (with music system and a desk + office chair). The other room is the second bedroom.

NB. It is very important to notice that the house rules of the property are followed carefully. When you arrive you will sign a simple contract stating the duration of your stay as well as your name(s) and contact information. These are handed over to the executive committee of the building who oversees the 20 apartments that the building contains. Please respect that the apartment is situated in a building with privately-owned homes.

If you want to rent bikes for the week, there is a bike shop across the street where you can rent it for a good price.

PLEASE NOTE: the apartment is NOT shared with any roommates. We have experienced some confusion about this, as a recommendation from one of our previous guests includes this point of view in her rating. This rating is 2 years old and we now only rent out our whole apartment.

- There is no smoking allowed in either bedroom nor living room. But smoking out of the kitchen window is acceptable. Please DO NOT throw cigarette butts out of the window.
- In order to consider the neighbors conditions, loud music after 22 is not allowed.
- Trash should be thrown out in the containers, situated in the backyard. You can enter through the back stairs. NB, notice that trash should be sorted and put in the right containers.
- Replace or pay items if anything is broken.
- Turn off candle lights when leaving or going to sleep.
- The using of spices and standard ingredients in the kitchen is ok.
- Respect private areas, such as wardrobes and drawers.


Defects and damages:
•It is the owner of the apartment’s responsibility to, as quick as possible, notify the executive committee about any damages or defects in the apartment as well as about the accompanying installations.
•If any pests are identified in the house, this must be immediately reported to the executive committee.

Water and sanitation:
•Running toilets and water taps are prohibited.
•Throwing objects in the toilet that might cause blockage of the drains is prohibited.

•Ventilation ducts must be kept clean, may not be blocked, and are not to be completely shut.

•The use of radio, TV, instruments, music and sound systems etc. is only allowed when having regard for of other residents in the building. Loud music between 22:00 and 08:00 is not allowed.
•Playing loud music with windows open is not allowed.
•Please display consideration for neighbours when using the staircase and generally when staying in the apartment.

•It is allowed to keep cats, small birds and max. 1 dog in the apartment. Pets are not to be of any inconvenience for other residents.
•Keeping other pets/animals is prohibited.
•Feeding wild birds, cats or other animals on the grounds of the building is prohibited.

•Any kind of damage to the building is to be immediately reported to the landlord (the owner of the apartment). It is then his or her responsibility to report to the executive committee.

•All garbage is to be bagged and placed in appropriate containers. Recyclable materials must be placed in the appropriate containers in accordance with local recycling guidelines.
•It is not allowed to place trash or personal items in any common areas.

•Smoking in common areas (staircase, both front and back) of the building is not allowed.
•Cigarette butts are not to be thrown out of the windows.

Use of common areas:
•The main door as well as the basement door must always be kept closed
Basement passages and kitchen stairs:
•Storage of any kind in basement passages and kitchen stairs is strictly forbidden due to safety and fire prevention regulations.

Regulations regarding subleases:
•Every landlord holds a maximum of days in which he/she can let out his/her apartment p.a. It is allowed to let out apartments maximum 1/10 of a year, that is 35 days p.a., meaning approximately 5 weeks.
•In order to make sure that sublets are not regarded as hotel-keeping, the following requirements must be met:
1) Maximum one tenant per week.
2) A minimum of 3-days stay per tenant is required.
3) A contract containing specifications about duration of the stay, house rules, and contact information must be signed of both parties (i.e. the tenant and landlord) on the day of arrival. A copy of the contract must be handed over to the executive committee.
•Any visits from guests on Airbnb must be announced at least 1 week prior to the arrival of guests. This is to be notified on a joint calendar, which will be hanging on the message board in each of the two stairwells. Information about tenants/guests as well as the duration of the stay must be communicated here.
•Also, a contact person – in case of any problems with neighbours etc – must be enclosed in the notification on the calendar.
•The house order applies to all residents and guests and should be kept strictly.
•The house order must be communicated to all tenants – in writing on and physically at the point of arrival.

What an amazing and convenient place to stay right in the heart of Copenhagen. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and we felt very welcome. I would love to stay there again next time I am in copenhagen.

Cecilie is an amazing host, she was always making sure we were comfortable at her place, she supplied us with a list of things to do and see. Her apartment is in a great location close to the main sightseeings, walking distance to public transport and supermarkets. We highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Copenhagen.

We are a very curious and open-minded couple, who like to invite friends and their friends into our home to enjoy the company of interesting and fun people. Besides being a musician and a cultural business student, we love to spend our time eating awesome food and traveling around Europe (and the rest of the world when we can afford it!)

We are very modest when being guests in strangers' houses, but at the same time we easily feel at home in new places. The reason why we are offering to rent out our apartment is because we expect and hope to have the same (good) experience in other people's houses as we hope they will have in ours. So far we have only had good experiences with Airbnb - as guests and as hosts.

We are looking forward to continuously staying at nice, personal apartments and houses around the world in the future! And we look forward to welcome you in our beloved home as well!
