Quiet house located in a very quiet area, but close to bustling La 70, Stadium Complex, Metro, UPB, and Plaza Mayor. You can easily walk or take a quick and cheap taxi ride to some of the best tourist destinations like Edificio Inteligente EPM, Convention Centers, Parque de los Pies Descalzos, Parque de las Luces, Plaza San Antonio, Parque Berrio, Parque Del Rio, and Pueblito Paisa. We live in the house as well and mostly keep to ourselves, working in and out of the house. Grab us when around or (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) any questions you have. You're welcome to Breakfast and Dinner whenever we cook (there is also typically wine then too!).
The house is located in quiet and convenient San Joaquin with La 70 a few blocks away, perfect for social life, and Parque Del Rio, Estadio, and Plaza Mayor for a healthy/fit lifestyle! Try the outdoor gyms, a run around the stadium, bike to centro, enjoy fantastic authentic restaurants and street food, bars, and discotheques, or pop on over to Jumbo for food and wine shopping to cook at the house. Metro is a quick walk away so Jardín Botánico, Planetario de Medellín, Ruta N, Parque Explora, El Poblado, escalators in Comuna 13, and Parque Arví/Santo Domingo Savio are cheap and convenient to get to. Coming into the city from the International Airport is a breeze too, with San Diego (where the Airport buses/white colectivos drop you off) being 5 minutes away on a taxi.
5-10 min walk to Metro, taxis at either end of the block (so convenient, I've been lazy about getting Easy Taxi), walk to 70, buses/colectivos are 2-3 blocks away that can take you around the city as well. We bike or walk to Plaza Mayor and Pueblito Paisa.
In general, we think of the house as a place to escape crazy busy lives, so we like it peaceful and quiet within reason. The house is relaxing, perfect after a busy day of sightseeing, studying at UPB, convention or conference. We are foodies, so if you want some nice food spots in the are, we can point you them!
I expect my guests to be respectful to other guests, my neighbors, shop people in the neighborhood, and the house. Great thing about travel is meeting new people so excepting diversity is essential!
Reasonable level, especially after 10 during the weekdays. Friday and Saturday are much more flexible. We have a lot of students and conference people staying with us, and in Colombia things start early!!!
Come and go as you please.
Please do not allow other visitors unless consulting us first.
Please take care to leave the condo more or less as you found it. The cleaning lady is awesome and she comes once a week, please don't freak her out, it's hard to find good cleaning ladies! Please don't leave dirty dishes or pots and clean the grill after every use! Take out the trash when you leave. There is a GREY trash can in the back patio where general trash goes. BLUE trashcan is all recyclables. And the WHITE trashcan in the kitchen has organics in GREEN BAG and non-organics in other section. (There are people that come around during trash day and take recycling out and if it's in those bags they will tare them open and make a mess on the street.)
Sorry, no. Allergies.
Can smoke in the front porch using ashtrays, please close the door and living room window. No smoking in the house or in the patios, the house has an open concept and smoke travels.
Have tons of it:)

I fell in love with Medellin on my travels, retired from a real estate valuation and business analysis business, and moved to this great city. I do CrossFit and love GREAT food and to cook! I was born and raised in Simferopol' Crimea and later around Philadelphia PA in the states and my partner is a Medellin native that has lived in the States for over a decade. We love this city and will be happy to share that love with our guests!
