We have been innkeeper's for 35 years on my husband's family farm, settled by his Scottish ancestors. Our farm house was built 1840. We have 3 grown married children, 3 grandsons. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting guests and having them stay with us. We have hosted people from all around the world and the 50 states. We feel like we have traveled the world, with out leaving our small rural area of 800 people. I love to cook, especially baking. I have a doughnut business that I supply doughnuts for our local country store. In the fall we have a mail order Christmas wreath ,centerpieces, and gift box business. My husband, Jim does carpentry work, plows driveways and grooms snowmobile trails in the wintertime. I love to read, have a few television shows that I watch or record to watch later. I am involved with church, treasurer for the snowmobile club, do fund raising for a school in Barton.
I feel very fortunate to have been able to meet so many people. We have had same guests coming for the 35 years that we have been business. We are proud to show guests our gem as they introduce us to the world they live in, and where they have traveled.
