Un petit coin de paradis tranquille dans la nature avec son propre lac. Le confort d'un petit chalet cosy vintage, tout pour cuisiner, pour se détendre et que les enfants jouent, avec l'accès wifi en plus !

Nancy was a gracious and thoughtful host. The cabin is rustic and located in a completly private, beautiful and peaceful setting.

The location and isolation of this place can't be beat. If you are in canoeing, walking, biking, or just sitting around, it's wonderful. The interior is nothing fancy, on the basic side, but our family of five enjoyed it immensely.

The camp is just what you imagine - a small cabin nestled in the woods near a pond, far from others with lots of room to roam. It's rustic but clean and far enough out of the way to feel like you're alone in the world - yet close enough to get out and enjoy the sights. We spent time hiking near Lake Willoughby, visited Newport and Burke Mountain. At the camp, we enjoyed reading, taking afternoon walks, bbq'ing, playing croquet and really took the time to unwind from our daily grind. Nancy was a gracious host and accommodated our schedule and offered several places nearby to check out. Parker's Pies (her suggestion) was a great place to grab a bite to eat. Our desire was to have a quiet place to get away from it all, and Tucked in the Woods was perfect! Thank you Nancy.

If you're looking for a private getaway, this is definitely that! Cute and tucked away, lots of room outdoor around the pond to hang out, and our labs absolutely LOVED running around and swimming in the pond! If you're visiting during the warmer months, I would definitely suggest bug spray for you and your pets for the biting flies - but other than that, it was exactly what we were looking for!

We had a great week end at Nancy cabin. Lost in the woods, we liked it. It is really cosy also.

Complete privacy on a nice pond. Was great running the dirt roads and swimming all week. Mattresses were a bit firm but otherwise comfortable place to stay.

We have been innkeeper's for 35 years on my husband's family farm, settled by his Scottish ancestors. Our farm house was built 1840. We have 3 grown married children, 3 grandsons. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting guests and having them stay with us. We have hosted people from all around the world and the 50 states. We feel like we have traveled the world, with out leaving our small rural area of 800 people. I love to cook, especially baking. I have a doughnut business that I supply doughnuts for our local country store. In the fall we have a mail order Christmas wreath ,centerpieces, and gift box business. My husband, Jim does carpentry work, plows driveways and grooms snowmobile trails in the wintertime. I love to read, have a few television shows that I watch or record to watch later. I am involved with church, treasurer for the snowmobile club, do fund raising for a school in Barton.
I feel very fortunate to have been able to meet so many people. We have had same guests coming for the 35 years that we have been business. We are proud to show guests our gem as they introduce us to the world they live in, and where they have traveled.
