This place is lovely! I guarantee that you have likely NEVER stayed anywhere as eclectically beautiful as Thomas and Christy's little slice of paradise. Located about 20-25 minutes outside Queenstown, this is the perfect safehaven for those that want to experience Queenstown but keep separated from all the hectic energy of this major tourist city.

Places like this is why I chose AirBnB over hotels. This is a piece of land that over lots of time, love, and creativity enhanced our experience in New Zealand. Thomas, the amazing artist, and Christy, the amazing host, made this definitely worth the while. Take the time to unplug (no wifi) and enjoy the breath taking garden. There are sand flies but the facility has sandfly repellent.

Paikka vastasi täysin muiden vierailijoiden kehuja, upea puutarha ja mukavat isännät. Tässä on todellakin nähty vaivaa!

Thomas is a very talented man the whole house and Garden are like a work of art. A little Eden. Away from the hustle and bustle the swan room has the comfiest bed! Enjoy!

This is a wonderful place to stay, well away from the mayhem of Queenstown and alongside one of the most beautiful lakes in New Zealand. The garden is simply staggering... we thought it would be quaint, but this is something we simply hadn't seen before. The amount of work to create a garden like this is breath-taking. It took us a full hour to explore and that was just one walk around - we could have spent so much more time. Christy and Thomas are both charming. The room and all the facilities are quirky and memorable. Sound-proofing between the rooms is poor though, so bring your earplugs or hope for considerate guests, and it can get chilly at night. Given that the bathrooms are shared we thought it was a little bit expensive, but still absolutely worth it and so much better than Queenstown. Thank you Thomas and Christy for a lovely stay.

Originally from Switzerland and the Philippines, we have both lived here for 26 years and have plenty of local knowledge to pass on. Wildlife, comfort, serenity, scenery and splendor aplenty! Come and let us care for you in this peaceful setting.
